Sauberkeit und Terrasse

Die Treppen in diesem Haus sind lebensgefährlich. Man kann ihren Koffer nur sehr vorsichtig rauf und runterschleppen.. es geht sich von der Platz her nicht aus. ( sehr hoch, eng und steil). die Schiebetür vorm Zimmer hat uns nicht beruhigt. Wenn man das Zimmer zuschließt, kann man trotzdem ins Zimmer leicht einbrechen. Vor allem wenn das Haustür unten IMMER offen ist. Das ist etwas beängstigend in diesem Gegend.. Am 1. Tag hatten wir noch Warmwasser, aber danach nur mehr abwechselnd, kalt warm.. Den Duschkopf darf man nicht bewegen, sonst fällt es raus vom Wand. Da die Treppen so hoch sind, wurde uns ein Zimmer im EG angeboten.. ich habe bereits das teuere Zimmer bezahlt, und wollte das Angebot auf keinen Fall annehmen. Die Lage von diesem Unterkunft wird immer so positiv bewertet, ist im Endeffekt auch nicht so toll. Die Zimmern werden hier so angeboten, als würde die schöne Terrasse zum Zimmer gehören.. ist aber nicht der Fall

Every day the cleaning crew would enter the room without knocking, and every day it was earlier and earlier. On the last day they demanded to come in the room at 10:15 to clean and turn over the room even though checkout was 11. No promised coffee or any small snacks. Would not recommend.

We loved it!The location is amazing, in the old town with a terrace overlooking the ocean. Old town is a wonderful maze of restaurants, churches and squares. The walk from the train station was a pleasant 25 minutes along walking streets. The stairs to our room on the 3rd floor were narrow but not a problem.

The stairs, lots of stairs. Very steep and hard to navigate with luggage. Only young people can navigate the stairs.

An original style home right in the centre of things in old Bari. Mrs Sara is just the perfect host. Very clean and with some gorgeous quirky elements. Having your own breakfast with the free coffee on the roof terrace in the sun and a view of the sea is special, there is a fridge. Local restaurants and the Basilica San Nicola is just a one minute stroll. But as mentioned, if you can’t handle stairs or have mobility issues then take the ground floor room. But anybody with normal mobility and fitness, it is no problem to have the top floors. Top tip. Parking is very easy and cheap just download the Easypark app and you can add time to the parking any time. No need to use the parking meters at 8:30am!

Our host, Sara, was fantastic. She is very friendly and genuinely warm. She gave us tips for sight seeing adventures which were much appreciated. The location, very close to Catedral de San Nicolas was super and is in the heart of the old town. The rooftop terrace would be fantastic in good weather, alas it was raining for much of the time that we were there.

The room is a bit small. It would be great for a couple. I was travelling with my son, so it was good for us. If you are spending a lot of time in the room it will feel small. I could also see how it may be noisy in summer months.
