Perfect place to stay in Ahangama. Really near beach and for a great price. Room was simple but good with mosquito net. Hosts were really nice and gave us such a nice breakfast.

A Road- cross from the beach, right in front of the peak, strong A/C, great hot shower, big, clean room, beautiful big privet yard with hangers and a kitchen. But the best part- their hospitality!!!! I became a family member, we cooked together, and the food was alter to my liking and served whenever I wanted. They spoiled me:)) came for a night and stayed 12. The biggest recommendation!!!

The stay at The Blue Sky was pleasant. The location is excellent, right by Kabalana Beach. That's the biggest bonus of the property. The room was a bit small and quite hot (fan), but comfortable for 1 person. The daily breakfast was good, and the family was 'nice'... Until checkout. The internet worked well for remote work. The room that I was in was on a separate property with its own entrance, which felt more private and was away from the train track, so it was less disturbing than being in the main house. The garden has a lot of potential, and it would be nice if there were a small table or a chair to sit and relax outside the room.

I initially booked for 2 nights but stayed for about 9 because I was happy there & would have stayed longer. For 2 days, the internet went off (no data). So I offered to pay/add more. The host added more (asked me to pay), but the line was still not fixed; she didn't follow up with the company, only to find out 2 days later that they hadn't uploaded the data, something that could've easily been avoided. Anyway, it wasn't a big deal, I just spent my time travelling & enjoying my free time, & although inconvenient, I wasn't very phased as the situation was out of my control. The host then asked if I was staying longer, but I already told her I was leaving on Friday (even way before the internet incident). I told her I was leaving according to the original check out, mostly because I wanted to see more areas along the coast, & the internet would become a problem if it wasn't fixed... and then she fixed the problem very fast. On the checkout day, the host then became quite rude (after 9 days of a 'pleasant'/probably fake smiles) & rushed me to get out of the room, even though they had no guests checking in. The checkout was 10:30 & she messaged me to 'leave now' at 10:45, to which I told her 'I'm almost finished', to which he replied, 'Why don't you leave then?'... I was quite shocked, disappointed, & saddened by the sudden change of attitude & hostility after 9 days of staying there. It was like when they couldn't get any more money out of me, I was no longer welcome. It was such an unfortunate mood killer after a pleasant stay. It saddens me to even write this. :( I hate giving negative reviews... I would have given this place a 9 score, but this situation was very unpleasant. The dad was the only one who was 'kind' when I left, but the mother just ignored me when she came outside, & the daughter (who was messaging)...

The hotel is very nice, 2 minutes walking to the beach. Breakfast is really really nice. The only negative thing is that is exactly behind the train rail, ao you listen to the train multiple times a day

It seems to be like home. The family is super nice, breakfast is truly amazing, room was clean and comfortable. I didn’t want to leave the place. Also, Kabalana beach is great and just few steps away

Staying at The Blue Sky, I enjoyed meeting the lovely and friendly homeowners in a superb location close to the surf beach. A good breakfast was prepared and served every morning. I can for sure recommend this place for both, solo travelers and couples/ friends/ families! Would recommend though to book a room with AC.
