Countryside Holiday Park by the River nr Canterbury (Pet-Friendly)

This is a comfortable cabin located about halfway between Canterbury and Ramsgate. After a couple of weeks staying in hotels and B&Bs this was a nice change to have a place with bedrooms separate from the living area. It was well equipped with cooking equipment and the washing machine in the cabin was a bonus.

It was not clearly indicated that the cabin did not include towels and we had to purchase our own. Also the wifi was not strong.

The communication through email was excellent, however the caravan although new was not in a very clean condition hence the rating I gave. The kitchen and floors were clean but the second bedroom hadn't been cleaned as we found dirty children's underwear under the bed. The sheet for the bed was not adequate either. I also found that someone else's clothes were hanging in the wardrobe. However there was a lot of wardrobe space and drawers for your things, the water was very hot so I had to turn it down and the boiler was easy to use once you looked at it. So the heating was used in the evening and first thing in the morning. The tv was new as per new caravan but the wifi was limited maybe due to the appalling weather I don't know. The site though was a delight small and quiet and the people we met spoke and were friendly. The site didn't have a shop which was a shame but lots of people were having home delivery and the town of Ramsgate is about 6 miles away and Manston also just a few miles up the road.

Already mentioned lack of facilities and lack of housekeeping also found lots of cobwebs and spiders added to the Halloween experience :)

We did not stay in a school, it was a static mobile home in a holiday park!!! Grounds maintained to a high standard, chalet clean, housekeeper friendly and helpful. Had a pleasant and relaxing stay, and lovely walks with our dog along the riverbank

Remote location of Park difficult to find, poor directions. AN on-site shop would be helpful to make purchase of necessities easier.

Location was good. I particularly liked the fact that it had a washing machine.

I could not find how to work the electric fire or the central heating. Was quite chilly in the caravan.

Clean, tidy and well equipped

A nice peaceful park with lovely walks along the river .Had a pub onsite which served nice affordable food.

Pub was closed on the Saturday evening but this was probably a one off as the through road was closed which did cause problems when trying to find the place.

Great location and excellent standard very quiet site with a nice little playground for my son
