The inside seemed recently renovated, was very clean and we found everything we needed after a long trip. The host was very kind and always available when needed

The building where the apartment is located is a little scary, the stairs to go up are smelly and scary. It was inconvenient to have to park the car not close to the property.

The outside of this apartment house belies the apartment inside - a pristine, well-equipped, comfortable flat with views of the town and harbor and a complete set of amenities - stove, oven, microwave, fridge, washing machine, and all the cooking implements one could ask for. Our host, David, gave us all the info we needed to get in and to learn about the town, and made sure the place was perfectly clean and ready for us. The building and neighborhood were absolutely quiet at all hours. A 5-minute walk took us to the train station, where trains to and from Edinburgh stopped every half-hour. A 5-minute walk took us to High Street with a food coop and several take-away places. There were things to do in Burntisland as well, like hiking up the Binn to enjoy the view. We were really pleased with the location and the apartment, and would highly recommend a stay here!

There was nothing we didn’t like - but I would warn that the apartment is on the 5th floor of the building and there is no lift. This was no problem for us, but could be a problem for people with physical challenges.
