The LITTLE HOUSE in HULL

We absolutely adored the little house- just beautiful, with everything you could possibly want and decorated to a high spec. Gorgeous surroundings and the hosts plus animals were wonderful and so welcoming. We arrived to find platters of fruit, vg cakes, bread, dairy free milk & spread- so thoughtful. The house was well equipped with an air dryer, small cooker, toaster, kettle & fridge freezer.

Absolutely nothing!

Well appointed, spacious and clean. This is our 2nd stay and will choose again in the future if available.

Wifi was a bit patchy and very low 4G signal inside.

Absolutely perfect in every way! We couldn’t have asked for a better stay for my daughter’s birthday—it was truly magical! She was over the moon with all the animals, and Bruno, the hilarious dog, kept us laughing the whole time. The bed was insanely comfortable, and the big, funky bean bags were a massive hit—she felt like a princess in her very own castle! Clare, Jean, and the entire team were absolute gems—the kindest, most thoughtful people you could ever meet. They even surprised my daughter with a beautiful unicorn light (she’s unicorn-obsessed!), which made her day! It was such a sweet and thoughtful touch that we’ll never forget. The local area has so much to offer too—there’s a lovely park just around the corner, tons of great restaurants, and “The Deep” nearby for a fun day out. We will definitely be back, both with the kids and for a solo getaway. Thank you so much, guys, for an unforgettable stay!

I liked how peaceful it was in the bedroom area with then sound of the waterfall. And the wake up call from chickens.

I felt the property let me down I felt the host was welcoming when I arrived but told me she was leaving to go abroad but was no mention of this until I arrived was told I was gonna get gree chocolates etc but never got anything As far as I was aware when I booked it there eas a breakfast for an extra charge of 6 but I never got this and when I questioned it I was told it was for the guests in that actual bed breakfast not for the cottage as this is self contained I drove all the way from Scotland i was on my own with my we dog and drove a 7 hour drive to get handed an egg from the chickens and some oat milk especially after me paying a lot of money for this accommodation it was not worth it I suffer with serve anxiety and when I arrived I thought I would have atleast had something there as a welcoming touch rather than some oat milk and brown bread. I also felt the garden was a bit disappointing as it was covered in dog cat poo from other animals so I didn't really want to put my dog in it as we went out a few times only for my dog to have it all over her and have it all over my trainers I was there to enjoy my holiday and my break away was only there for a day and night and I was spending most of my morning cleaning it all up as it was dragged back into the cottage not knowing it was all over us. When I spoke to them about this issue I felt they weren't really understanding nor did I get an apology for this I wasn't even left any cleaning materials ie washing up liquid or even a dish cloth and it wasn't until I went to speak about my complaints that the cleaner kindly brought me some down and she even washed my trainers which was nice of her. But I felt the other people in charge weren't that helpful in this situation.

Friendly hosts. Comfortable, well-equipped and spacious (for what is a little house). Only a short walk to local bars (Atom Brewery bar is highly recommended) and other eateries, and also buses into Hull itself. Fresh bread, fruit, vegan butter & oat milk were provided along with fresh eggs from the resident chickens. Whilst the kitchen is compact it had everything we needed to make breakfast or a simple meal (had we chosen to eat in). We even found time to play a game from the selection available. Lovely pond and garden too.

Whilst we didn't find this to be a major problem for us, the cockerels do crow a little early in the morning (despite the owners best efforts to keep them in the dark until later), so it may not suit a light sleeper.

so beautiful, luxury stay right on our doorstep. just an amazing break away from the norm. couldn’t ask for anymore
