Ho Hum Motel

The bed i was in was very squeaky and the room didnt have any ventilation to my knowledge and it only had the heater and room fan… because of not having a good ventilation the room had weird smell not too strong but still persistent… not sure if its just me or just that room but i felt a bit suffocated throughout the stay unless i’d open the room door… however it was very close to the national park entrance which was an added advantage.

Clean, comfortable and quiet.

Location is great. Everything is within walking distance. The carpet is old and dirty. We had hard time to pull the blinds down, eventually the staff helped us to pull it down. I like they use the last four digits of our phone number as the key code and don’t have to tell them when we left before 7am.

The owner of ho hum motel is so friendly and helpful and made the trip absolutely amazing I will be back one day

Great location, clean, great price!

Room 10 was stinking of pee. Limited hot water, 3 ppl could not take a shower as hot water ran out. No body answered the calls at reception.

Considering $$, this was worth the money. Room was clean, checkout easy. On the other hand, check-in was delayed by an hour because electronic keypad was not working properly and we needed to wait for key to be given to us instead. Room has no AC and bathroom's door were jamming so you need to use a strong pull to open it on the way out.

Overall the motel was fine and is a budget option for an expensive area to stay. The location is brilliant and parking was easy. Staff where friendly and helpful. Unfortunately the room wasn’t great, it had a strange smell and the window had no lock just a small piece of wood to stop it opening too far. The staff member on shift was very helpful and tried his best to sort it but it still wasn’t ideal and we felt we couldn’t leave any valuables in the room as someone could easily come in through the window. The floor of the room above was very creaky so whenever someone walked around you could hear them. I think we maybe just got a bad room and hopefully the security issue with the window gets fixed soon.
