Ace Hotel and Swim Club Palm Springs

The on-site staff were very friendly.

Unfortunately the amenities were not equivalent to our previous stay when families had access to all onsite amenities. We were not alerted that children were no longer allowed in the main pool aka the swim club and did not get full clarification until after check-in. The document at arrival that showed the restaurants etc indicated the swim club was for 18+ on Fridays-Sunday (we had trip planned Wednesday-Friday). This information was not displayed face-up when we booked. Additionally we were then told that Senior management had further restricted access to the swim club the week prior to our arrival (no notification sent) and it was only for 18+. Our tween and family were restricted to the "family/kid" pool, depth of only 4ft. While we were still able to have food ordered from the swim club, it meant a parent had to walk over to the main club to order food/drinks as well, something that would not be possible if there was only 1 guardian. Multiple families we met were all frustrated, no one received advance notification so we could not make alternate plans. Extremely disappointed as historically it was a great place to get some sun and relax w/ the family and friends.

Constant music from 7.30 AM until 2 AM. Our kids would have loved it. We are in our 60’s …..

Everything is right there, dining, bar, pool, nice hot hot tub

The beds need updating for how much you pay to stay here. There was a scum around the hot tub by midday that was clean the next day but wondered why it hadn’t been cleaned before. The lounge chairs while cute were not very comfy

Easy to get around, close to downtown, pool staff very friendly.

It felt like a summer camp/ daycare. When booking I didn’t realize it wasn’t a 21+ hotel. The amount of kids ruined my pool/relaxation experience.

Location

The hotel is old, the rooms are old and haven't been renovated in years, they never clean the room during my stay, the pool staff was rude and they wanted to charged us $150 for a chair by the pool even though we were staying in the premises.

Wir waren nach 6 Jahren nochmals in der Unterkunft und das Hotel, Stil, Zimmer ist sehr schön. Positiv: immerhin wurde uns die Resort-Fee erstattet, da wir erst 2,5h später mit Kleinkind einchecken konnten.

Leider konnten wir erst um 17:30 einchecken, weil seit 16:00 Uhr kein Zimmer frei war, da anderen Gästen Late-Checkout angeboten wurde. Zudem gab es keinen Parkplatz für uns, als wir ankamen, da das Hotel am Wochenende Day-Passes verkauft und scheinbar diese Gäste als Extra-Cash priorisiert. Wir komme nun auch zu einem weiteren Punkt: der Rave am Pool am Sonntag - Party ohne Ende - so war es damals nicht. Und Last but Not least - der Familien Pool und die gesamte Umgebung drum herum waren leider nicht so sauber wie der Hauptpool. Blätter, Essensreste etc. Lagen herum. Scheinbar wird der Fokus auf den Haupt-Pool gelegt, wo Party gemacht wird. Uns war klar, das es ein Lifestyle Hotel ist, aber der Fokus war uns neu. Wiederkommen werden wir nicht mehr.
