L'host in Taormina

Our host Ugo made our holiday very special because of his passion for Taormina and his desire for you to have an amazing time on your hoilday. Nothing was too much trouble for him. He even collected us from the train station on our arrival and gave a superb tour of the town, giving lots of advice on local attractions and great places to eat and drink. The apartment was spotlessly clean and fully equipped for all your needs. We found the location to be perfect, very central. We would highly recommend staying here.

It’s only five minutes walk from the Main Street. Spotless clean. Very quiet during night time so you sleep very well. Apartment has everything you need such as coffee machine, fridge, stove, washer and a cute balcony where you can enjoy some morning sun and a cup of coffee. The best about this place is the hosts Ugo and Justyna. Super helpful and hospitable people. Very accommodating and generous. Pick us up from train station then drive us around to explain the layout of Taormina. Makes our stay super easy and fun. Best hosts we’ve ever met. We definitely will book this place again if we come back to Taormina. Actually already referred to our friends and families.

Ugo went above and beyond with every aspect of our stay and we have never experienced such great hospitality before.

We had an incredible time in Taormina, and a large part of that was our experience with Ugo. He is quite literally the most kind and helpful host! Not only did he collect us from the train station, but he spent around half an hour walking around the town with us to help us get our bearings. He also sent us a detailed list of all of the best sights and restaurants in the area, which we largely followed and thoroughly enjoyed. The apartment itself was fantastic. In an ideal location close to the main centre, but peaceful. It was the perfect size for a couple, and had all of the facilities you would need. The coffee maker was especially good. We loved starting our days with an espresso on the balcony! We would love to return to Sicily in the future and stay in one of Ugo’s lovely properties again.

This place has everything you need and more. Its location was perfect. Bed comfortable. So much in the room it makes you feel Like you’re at home. I wouldn’t even consider staying anywhere else. Host are exceptional.

Everything was more than perfect! The owner, Ugo, was absolutely caring and conscientious, he came and waited us at the bus station, took us around in the city and showed all of the good places. He even took us up to Castelmola and brought us back to the city. The apartment was very comfortable even for four people. It's well equipped, super clean and huge. The location is perfect, very calm place but close to the city center. There was nothing more we could expect.

The appartment is beautiful, comfortable, well equipped, and has a good location (close to the main street but in a quiet street), but the highest pro is the host: he truly cares about his guests and is really helpful. It wasn't the cheapest option in town but we saved quite some money in dining and parking thanks to his recommendations. We would definitely stay there again.

Absolutely everything about our stay here was first class. We were contacted in advance and arranged a place to meet the host where we could park our car (free) and were then driven into Taormina by the host (very narrow streets with no nearby parking). This was super helpful. After helping us with our luggage and then showing us around everything about the apartment we were then treated to a short personal tour of the town centre with many local places of interest and places to eat pointed out (we tried many and they were all very good). We were also sent several very helpful messages about other places to visit nearby which were all really useful. Throughout our stay our hosts could not have been more helpful, and when it came to checking out they once again helped us with luggage and drove us back to our car and then showed us the best way to get to our next destination. If I could give more than 10 out of 10 I would - a simply perfect place with really amazing hosts!

We loved it all!

Ugo and Justyna are terrific hosts. This is an understatement. They gave us a tour of town AFTER he picked us at the station. We received multiple WhatsApps that shared recommendations on restaurants, sites, etc. During our stay. All were SPOT ON! They far exceeded expectations in all aspects with their generosity and caring. Their first floor apartment, on a quiet and easily accessible side street, is a three minute walk to the Corso Umberto, the Main Street of Taormina. They have fully-kitted out the flat: great bedding, pillows, towels, good hot shower with great water pressure. There’s AC/heat, a washing machine and a well-outfitted kitchen with a great coffee maker we used multiple times. The front balcony is a lovely spot to have a coffee or a glass of wine. Every need is anticipated. Forgot soap? Ugo and Justyna have some. Feel like a glass of wine? Ugo can help. We feel like we met knew friends and we miss them already.

Ugo made my stay in Taormina truly exceptional, I can now see why there were so many 10-star reviews for this property! The property was very clean, had everything I needed, and was within 10 minutes' walking distance of all the main sights in Taormina. Ugo was the best host and was so kind to pick me up from the station when my train was quite delayed, gave me the best local walking tour to help me get my bearings on foot when I arrived, and had an endless list of amazing recommendations for food and things to do even in the off-season (especially trying the Fior di Sale lemonade, and all the best lookout spots). I felt so safe as a solo traveller staying at Ugo's property and can't wait to return one day :)
