L'host in Taormina

We had a fantastic stay at this apartment! It had everything we needed, was very comfortable, and was in a great central location—yet still wonderfully quiet. As a family with two small kids, we truly appreciated the convenience and peaceful atmosphere. What made our stay exceptional was the host, Hugo, who went above and beyond in ways we’ve never experienced before. He made us feel like friends rather than just guests and did everything possible to help. Thank you, Hugo! We highly recommend this place for a family stay.

Wonderful location to really get to know Taormina. The Host was really helpful in helping us understand how to navigate around.

The only complaint was the shower was very small, but we are small so it didn't really matter. But other than that the flat was well laid out with everything in it we could possibly want.

Very Comfortable, clean and well equipped apartment, Good quiet location near all amenities and sights. The host Ugo was wonderful helping us settle in and showing us around the area and giving us very useful information, if we could give more than 10 we would.

This beautiful apartment is located 4 minutes walking from the center of historic Taormina and the shops, restaurants, and historic attractions. The apartments is immaculately clean, has all the modern furnishings, and beautifully decorated. My wife and I enjoyed having morning coffee sitting outside on the covered veranda before heading out to explore the day ahead. Our Host Ugo was terrific and went out of his way to make sure we would enjoy our time in Taormina.

It is an amazing appartment with a perfect location within 5 minutes walk to historical centre. It is very clean and cosy. You can find everything you need for a comfortable stay. The host Ugo is the best we have ever met. He is a friendly and supportive person. Ugo met us at the parking station when we arrived and took us around the town to show the best places to see and the best restaurants to eat in. He has provided all necessary information for us to feel at home in Taormina. Ugo is always on the phone and ready to answer any question.

Excellent apartament, legendary host !

This is a wonderful apartment, spacious, quiet and fully equipped with everything you might need. Taormina is a really beautiful place and the apartment is less than a 2 min walk from a variety of bars, restaurants, cafes etc. However the real highlight was Ugo's hospitality; he took me on a tour of Taormina suggesting the best places to eat, drink, visit and the directions to hike to the mountain top castle. Ugo really went out of his way to make me feel welcome and I look forward to visiting Sicily again. If you are considering visiting Taormina and are reading this review, then this is your sign to stop and just book it, you won't be disappointed. There is a reason L'Host is rated 10. The apartment and the hosts, Ugo and Justyna, were absolutely exceptional, and we definitely recommend them to anyone visiting Sicily. The apartment is perfectly situated in the historic center of Taormina, within walking distance of Corso Umberto (the main pedestrian street filled with shops and restaurants) and the Villa Comunale gardens, which offer breathtaking views of the coastline. Recently renovated, the apartment is spotlessly clean and tastefully decorated with charming Sicilian touches. It features a living room with a sofa bed, an LCD TV, and access to a cozy terrace where you can enjoy your morning coffee. The open-plan kitchen is fully equipped, making it ideal for families with children. The bedroom is spacious, with a large wardrobe and its own small terrace. Additionally, the apartment is equipped with a washing machine, which is a convenient bonus. As a welcome gesture, we were greeted with a bottle of wine, natural juice, and candies for the kids, which was a lovely touch. While the apartment itself was outstanding, what truly made our stay unforgettable was the exceptional hospitality of Ugo and Justyna. They treated us not just as guests but as friends. Ugo is, without a doubt, the best host we’ve ever met. He shared invaluable insights about Taormina’s attractions, restaurants, parking spots and went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. By a happy coincidence, we also crossed paths with Ugo and it's great family in Messina, where we toasted a glass of champagne together in Piazza Cristo Re as we welcomed the New Year. Our families admired the spectacular fireworks display, creating an unforgettable memory we’ll cherish forever. Although this is the first 10/10 review we’ve ever given (and we travel a lot!), we feel it still doesn’t reflect enough this incredible experience. The host was fantastic; going out of his way to make us feel welcome. Our host provided us with a bottle of red wine on arrival and sent through a list of places to visit and restaurants on WhatsApp. He even took the time to walk us around the town pointing out areas of interest. The apartment was amazing; located on an old fashioned lane way, it exceeded our expectations for comfort. The fully stocked kitchen allowed me to cook numerous dinners during our stay. The balconies were wonderful; we enjoyed having coffee, breakfast and drinks on the front balcony. We stayed for five nights so the washing machine was an absolute bonus. The apartment was a short stroll to the supermarket and major attractions.

The apartment is located in the very center of Taormina, the cleanliness is perfect. All that can be said are positive words. But for me, that was not the most important thing. For Ugo, we were not just another client renting his apartment. For Ugo, the most important thing is the person and that is how we were treated. Like a couple of friends visiting his apartment. We have never met such hospitality and care. He did everything to make us feel good here and our stay was the best. We thank you very much for this hospitality. Ugo, I hope we will be able to return the favor in the future.
