Randa's House I Homestay

Is a fantastic place. Randa's family were incredible hosts. They were always ready to help and gave the best advice to explore the town and activities nearby. Can't recommend it more.

This homestay is wonderful! I am so happy that I found it. The room is clean and quiet, the breakfast and dinner that are included are tasty, but the best part is the family. They are so kind and welcoming — for this reason this is my favorite place to stay in Rwanda. Thank you so much Monique!

If you are looking for an authentic Rwandan experience and seeing the local life from inside - this place is for you! I had an amazing stay with Monique, Norbert and their two lovely daughters. They all made sure that I had a very special time here. The house is beautiful and the room is very clean. The food was delicious.  Monique and Norb also helped me to organize a treck to see the Twin Lakes and Golden monkeys treck in the Volcanoes national park. Monique also offered to have a city tour with me, seeing the local markets (we did it by boda boda which was an experience in itself :) The family explained to me a lot about Rwandan culture and nature.  This was truly one of the best travelling experiences I have ever had. My home away from home! And it was very difficult to say goodbye at the end of this lovely journey together. I really do hope we will meet again and I'm sure our connection will last. Once again, thank you all for making it so special for me!

If desired, Monique offers the unique opportunity to experience the family life of a Rwandan family. She also cooks wonderful Rwandan food. Thank you for the great time and see you next time

A welcoming, lovely young family who makes you immediately feel like you're staying with friends! I spent 2 lovely days with Norbert, Monique and Randa and I enjoyed getting to know them over the meals which they share with their guests. This is the sort of place you'll remember fondly months after you've left Rwanda and that's because of the wonderful people who run it, who take their time to ensure you're comfortable and happy. I also appreciated their flexibility with my ever-changing plans as they accommodated my early arrival. The room was spacious and comfortable and the house was clean and full of love. The hosts have a background in tourism so can help arrange (and guide) any activity you may want to do. It's a little gem in Musanze and you'll be so happy you chose to stay here.

The whole family is very welcoming and my stay there felt like stepping into the daily life of a rwandan family. I was invited eating with them their familydinner, where I got to know the traditional dishes (delicious btw) and to have a talk about living in Rwanda. Norbert works in tourism for that was very convenient as Norbert helped me organise my gorilla trekking at an affordable price and I also did an authentic hiking tour with Norbert as my tour guide, where I learned a lot about the country. The room was simple equipped with mosquitonet, there was a theoretically shared bathroom, but since I was the only guest it was private for me, sometimes no running water but always enough watercanisters to handle that. If you want to have an authentic experience at an affordable price this is definitely the place to go with!

Best experience in Rwanda, they help me with everything, we eat together everyday local food homemade, they received me from the best way always with a smile, the place is clean, located in a chill area so thats really cool. And you can book any trekking, guide with them. Great experience, thank you norb, monica and Randa 🤍

It was a perfect and very interesting stay at the family of Monica, Norbert and their small girl Randa. I learned a lot of the rwandan culture and ate the best food i've ever eaten in Rwanda. Thanks also for planning the whole tour to Virunga Nationalpark! Hope to see you again one day.

Monique, the manager helped with planning trips to Bisoke, gorilla trekking, bike tour of Twin Lakes (Norbert her husband was the guide and is very nice!), Musanze daily visits for entertainment, helped with transport to/from Kigali & a great cook (especially the scrambled eggs with veggies & milk tea). My room was comfortable, clean, & quiet
