La Posada Del Arte

The staff and the owners were super friendly, kind and very useful for anything we needed Breakfast was really really good 👍 The hotel was decorated with real artists paintings and sculptures.

The property was in a very good location. It is very clean and the people are exceptionally nice. I had a very cozy , cute room and I love the art all over the walls in the hallways. The view from my room you couldn’t beat. The balcony was shared but I had one right in front of my window and enjoyed the view each day. The vibe of Banos was very appealing to me. I felt very welcome here. People ask about hot water, there is plenty and the water pressure is kinda low at times but I didn’t run out of hot water. I loved this place.

This isn’t so much the property but Banos has a power outrage from 2-4 each day or they did when we were there. Not sure if this is regular but if it is there is no power or wifi and not good service for a couple hours.

This was such a great location off the main drag of Baños. Some rooms have waterfall views. Karl and Priscilla were wonderful hosts.

The owner was very welcoming, speaking to me in both Spanish and English. She let me check in early and made me very comfortable. People were around all day in the kitchen, at the front desk, and so on to answer questions and assist. It is perfectly located on the edge of town, easy walking distance to everything. I ended up spending more time at the hotel than I expected because the courtyard is so lovely. I took pictures of sculptures and other art -- they have a pretty setup. Excellent food. Filtered water is available from the kitchen. If you're a cyclist, talk to Karl! I noticed his Trek bike and his wife encouraged me to talk to him about biking in Ecuador. I definitely will speak to him if I come back with my touring bike!

The cleaning products in the bathroom have an intense scent - common in Ecuador, unfortunately. Easy to fix: I left the bathroom windows open & closed the door to the bathroom.

This hotel is amazing!! We arrived with a group of 8 (including 4 teens) and it felt like coming home. The rooms are spacious cozy and clean, the hotel is beautiful and perfectly located, and we loved loved loved their two sweet dogs. I did so much activity planning before arrival but I could have just come here and asked Carl, the owner, for assistance. He helped us plan three days of adventure- biking to the waterfalls, a day in the Amazon, and canyoneering, and they were all a blast! And no need to find restaurants in town- we ate at a few and La Posada has hands down the best food we’ve had yet on our trip! We will definitely be back.
