La Posada Del Arte

What a lovely eclectic hotel. Very unique. Staff is wonderful. Choice of breakfast items and nicely prepared. Close to the hot springs and a wonderful view of the waterfall.

The hostel is located right next to the waterfall and thermal baths at the edge of town, which is nice and quiet. It’s only about a 15min walk from the bus station, and less than that to get to all the restaurants, bars, and shops. The staff are nice and helped us plan our time in Banos, including recommending an agency that could rent us good quality bikes for the waterfall route. We also enjoyed our breakfast. Wish we could have stayed longer!

We enjoyed our 5 night stay at La Posada del Arte. Although our room didn't match the Bookings description, it was comfortable and clean. Great location given its proximity to the waterfall in town (+ situated on a quiet street). Strong wifi. Hot shower. Good breakfast. Very friendly and helpful staff.

I messaged the property before that I was feeling ill and taking the night bus, asking for an early check in if possible. I didn't understand why they were pushing for a private transfer and saying the night bus is unsafe. That is completely wrong. Then they tried to put me in a room with two twin beds, which took up the entire room. I was treated like I was the issue when I reiterated that I want one bed. A grumpy man eventually came. I got a room, the entire time I'm being made to feel like I'm the inconvenience. I got a room that they said was quiet but it didn't look like the photo nor the description on booking. I spent a lot of money expecting to have a fireplace. He admitted the description doesn't match the rooms!!! I cancelled the rest of my stay and booked in a cheaper and nicer guest house. The room was facing a side road which was noisy. The breakfast was terrible for a vegan. Again I gave them warning. All I got was dry granola, fruit and bread. That was the most expensive place that I stayed in and do not recommend it at all! Terrible value for money and they need to properly update their room description. Another lady who I spoke to had the same issue with her room: it wasn't the one she chose!!

Excellent breakfast- very filling. The best part was that it’s at the end of town, near the falls and very near the termales. One can just walk on over very easily and jump right into that wonderful water. Also, despite what one has been hearing about the security in Ecuador lately, there wasn’t even a hint of any of that. The town felt very safe and easy to walk around in the evening.

I would have liked a chair. For unclear reasons, my back has been unhappy lately and I would have liked a comfortable chair.

The breakfast were outstanding with many choices. Staff were very attentive and always happy to help. Nice quiet location close to thermal pools.

It was all good. I would not hesitat to return to this establishment

Comfortable common areas with beautiful gardens, perfect spot away from the downtown area but close enough to walk. Breakfast is incredible and the art is a nice touch!

My family has stayed in this hotel every time we visited Baños and one of the attractions was the excellent breakfast spread. This time breakfast lacked luster.

The room “Canela” needs some work. It was bright throughout the night w street light. One night stand but no lamp or light socket for charger handy.
