La Posada Del Arte

La Posada del Arte is in a great location in Baños. The gardens are beautiful and the room was very comfortable. It was chilly and the staff helped us make a fire in the wood stove. We came to Baños a day early and the host tried to find us another place to stay because his hotel was booked. Food in the restaurant was excellent. Breakfast is included. I wish I could have spent more time there.

Really comfortable and enjoyable stay. Hosts were very accomodating and organised a hire bike for me, laundry service and some very timely travel advice. Really liked the fact that they had filtered drinking water available. Breakfasts were tasty and very substantial.

I wasn’t aware that there was going to be planned power outages in the town/country while I was staying. Outside the property’s control but information would have been useful.

Beautiful location with a view of the waterfall

This is my second time staying at the Posada de Arte. I enjoyed staying here because the place is comfortable, and at walking distance from the thermal baths. My friends and I really enjoyed having dinner there. The food was very tasty and the presentation was beautiful. The breakfast was really good too. I will definitely stay in La posada de Arte again.

Breakfast was delicious. Staff was amazing, location and view of the waterfall was exceptional!

Wifi was intermittent

The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. Our room faced the front of the building and it was quite loud when vehicles with loud music drove by and especially on Saturday night. The bathroom could use an update. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. And the breakfast was delicious. I would consider staying here again next time we visit Banos.

Really pretty hotel, I loved the decor, the peace and quiet and the proximity to the thermal baths. Staff were all friendly, knowledgeable and helpful, breakfasts were large and tasty, bed was super comfortable and shower had hot water and good pressure. Being able to book activities through reception was great as it didn't cost any extra, I avoided the hustle of the tour offices in town, and they included pickup from the hotel.

This is a charming hotel near the Cascada de Virgin. Fantastic value for a humble room in a colorful, artsy hotel with a cozy, yet sophisticated ambience. Warm tones and lighting inside and outside. The lobby features a sitting area with a fireplace. Another sitting area was outside in the garden. The owner and staff are very friendly and helpful. I had a single room on the 2nd floor facing the waterfall. I could hear its soothing cascades even when the windows were closed. At night, I left the drapes open so that I could see the colors change with the lighting. In the early mornings, the closed drapes blocked the light well. During the day, I pinned back the drapes and opened the windows for some fresh air. My room had a small balcony with a comfortable hammock. The free breakfast was very good. Juice, coffee, omelette or scrambled eggs or pancakes, fresh warm breads and cheese. No mini fridge in the room, but the restaurant was open all day. Guests could add snacks and meals to the hotel bill and pay at checkout. Parking was available on the street. Quiet and safe street & neighborhood. A few blocks' walk to the church, restaurants, and bars. I enjoyed it here so much, I changed my plans and stayed an extra day!

A few minor things. The rooms are on the 2nd and 3rd floors. No elevator. Narrow stairways, but the owner carried my bag up to my room for me. The wood floors creaked loudly in the rooms and hallways. The Wi-Fi worked great when I was alone in the hotel; otherwise, it was sometimes spotty. No heater or A/C, but they're really not needed in Baños. The room was a little stuffy if the windows were kept closed.

This hotel is certainly the absolute best in all of Banos! Do yourself a favor & get one of the 2 suites you will not regret waking up & going to bed with the most exquisite views of the waterfall right outside your window.
