Taru Villas Mawella - Tangalle

Staff were beautiful and attentive and check-in was seamless. We even got to check in early without any mention from staff. Hotel grounds were absolutely immaculate and we enjoyed the pools very much. Loved the peaceful location on Mawella beach. Overall good value for money.

Food was quite average and on multiple occasions, was not very fresh. Perhaps because the hotel was at this time only servicing a handful of guests (due to the socio-political climate). Room very clean but a little bit tired - rugs in room need replacing they were stained. Small complaint but not quite was is expected of 5 star.

Location was good

The quality dropped in service. The assistant manager was not upto standard. Delayed service. The phone in the room not functioning hence call for service with ease. Best part of the kurumba is it location and isolated with privacy. Beach is excellent but value for money for this property ia not there

The pool near the courtyard was very nice, the verandah room was compact but stylish.

The restaurant food was very poor, except breakfast which was acceptable. The beach access was uninviting and poorly furnished.

Had a great stay here - property was lovely and staff were amazing. Will be back for sure

A great location on a quiet palm fringed beach, with exceptional staff. The food is especially worthy of note. The quality of curries and Sri Lankan food were so much better than any of the other hotels we stayed in. Everything was freshly cooked and catered to your likes and dislikes. A fantastic property all round.
