Taru Villas Mawella - Tangalle

Als je door de poort loopt, waan je je direct in paradijs. Dit is een prachtig resort, smaakvol ingericht en direct aan het strand, met meerdere zwembaden en het meest vriendelijke personeel. Uitgebreid ontbijt, heerlijke lunch (all day dining) en je kunt er heerlijk dineren. Elke dag een ander menu met keuze uit 4 hoofdgerechten. En leuk voor de kids: er is een pooltafel. We hebben zo enorm genoten hier, dat we een extra nacht hebben geboekt. Wij zijn hier helemaal tot rust gekomen en voortreffelijk verzorgd. Dank aan al het personeel voor de goede zorgen en gastvrijheid!!

Spacious, serene, no screaming kids and tranquil

They overcharged me for dinner which should NEVER have happened! Advertised prices are in USD and bill was in rupees so obviously at first glance we can't tell when there's an overcharge ! Cross check ur itemised bill! Advice to the hotel is that they should have the prices in both LKR and USD on their menus as well as their bills to allow for easy verification by the guest.

Beautiful peaceful place. Staff were amazing and food was lovely. A perfect place to getaway.

The hotel is right on the beach and it’s a beautiful quiet beach. The staff were very friendly and helpful and the Sri Lankan curry for breakfast was delicious (you have to order it the night before)

Beautiful setting in the gardens. Next to the ocean. Can hear the waves breaking on the beach. Really cosy and comfortable room and bed. Lovely finishing touches.

No tea or coffee facilities in the rooms. I’m sure it said it did on the website. Manager tried to say it was a tranquil but there were a lot of small children who were very noisey.

Such a great location, close to Tangalle. Big, green property that makes you feel relaxed. You can always find a nice spot to enjoy the shade in hot day, listening sooting sound of waves. Lounge area being one of them. Beautiful pool and vicinity of the beach gives you the choice to enjoy your swim. Room was spacious and inviting, with the big and comfortable bed and nice terrace to enter the garden. A la carte breakfast was amazing, with variety of local and international choices. Compliments to the chef. We had the issue with our shower, but Oshan and his team sorted it out immediately. The only thing we regret is not staying here longer, due to our previously arranged plans, but we are looking forward to our next trip to Sri Lanka and enjoy Taru villas once again.
