Sisi's Place

The accommodation at Sisi’s was excellent: a beautiful clean room with an ocean view, a great huge breakfast, and a bunch of wonderful tips for exploring Sri Lanka that are priceless…

Sisi's place was fantastic, it was pretty much right on the beach and they've fitted it out with everything you could need or want. The bed was super comfy (comfiest pillows we've had the whole trip), they had hanging racks both inside and outside on the balcony to dry any swimming gear, and they had chairs and tables both inside and on the balcony (which had a great view of the train tracks and to the sea). The fridge was so handy, there was a wardrobe, and a dresser/mirror, the room and balcony were so spacious, they had both a fan and and air conditioner which worked great! The room was so clean. The bathroom was great and they also had a squeegee which is an awesome touch with the open shower (hot water works not that you need it). Both hosts were so lovely, and the breakfast was delicious. We also got a lift to and from the turtle sanctuary for a great price. Honestly one of the most comfortable places we stayed. Also a great location. Can't recommend it enough.

The only thing is the trains were actually quite loud for us going past and did wake us up in the morning.

Such a warm welcome in Sisi’s Place, a family run hotel and it feels exactly like that.After the craziness of Colombo it was a breath of fresh air. The breakfast was amazing and so much of it that Sisi suggested we take the rest to our room to put in the fridge for lunch. It’s also very well situated, easy to walk to the shops, the beach and the restaurants. If you miss your train you’ve only got yourself to blame because it’s right on top of the station ! However, that’s what gives this particular location so much charm. There are literally restaurants on the side of the track, it really is something quite special. I would go back in a heartbeat. Also the beach is huge so you’re not at all on top of each other .

The place was excelent. Rooms clean, big a really excelent wiev from balcony. I was so suprised. And the owner and the family were nice people with big hearts. And breakfast Full table of fruit, omeleta, pankaces, tousts,...... Big thanks you 🥲❤️🥰

Best place we've been at in our two weeks on Sri Lanka. Can definitely recommend on all parameters. Amazing breakfast included.

The villa has new rooms, very clean and comfortable. At breakfast we had the most delicious fruits in Sri Lanka. The location is good, near to the beach - you have to go over a park and the beach is there. You can see the ocean from the room. Bentota has also a lovely beach, large and not to crowded. Very good quality for the price - better as in other places we stayed in Sri Lanka. We recommend it for sure!

In front of the house is the railway and it can be noisy if you are a light sleeper. We slept good.

Clean, modern, comfortable bed, great air conditioning and WIFI. Delicious breakfast and a friendly helpful host (Sisi)

Comfortable room, clean washroom

Right next to a railway line, so occasional disturbance. Final access to property (about 50m) is a small pathway, suitable for tuktuk but not cars.
