De Hué

We had an amazing stay here! The location was perfect—quiet and peaceful at night but close enough to explore the city by motorbike. The room was beautiful and so comfortable, and the staff went above and beyond, cooking us delicious breakfasts every morning and sharing fantastic local tips. If you’re visiting Hue, this place is a must!

The space is really nice with great concept and pretty design related to Hue citadel architecture and modern art. The housekeeper - Minh is really caring and approachable. He's really responsive and proactive in providing us good advices for Hue traveling and also prepare great breakfast for us every morning. Breakfast options were great with Bun Bo Hue, Banh loc & banh nam (he said they're from the locals nearby) with fresh herbal water and coffee and all well served to us! Did not have much time to enjoy more experiences at the place (like cinema~) but definitely come back if we have chance! Location is not really far from the center if you rent a bike, I like exploring some kind of local vibe like this more than the busy streets in the center.

Sound-proof could be considered as we were interrupted with many laughters from the next-door room in the midnight :P

The home has only 7 rooms each meticulously cared for. I loved the small garden in front of the room; it looks very green and refreshing. The room always has a cool and pleasant atmosphere. The large bed and soft pillows were very comfortable, ensuring a great night’s sleep. The breakfast, served with care, was delicious and included local dishes, fruit, and coffee/tea. There is also a spacious parking area right in front of the home

There isn’t a kettle in the room, just one in the kitchen area

Even though I only stayed in Hue for one day, I had some truly delightful experiences. Besides the accommodation, the team at De Hué helped me engage in local activities: cycling around the village, visiting a garden house, painting, swimming and paddleboarding on the Perfume River, having dinner at a garden house, and breakfast at a traditional bun bo restaurant. Everything was new and exciting to me. Thank you very much, Mr. Minh. The room was very tidy and beautiful, with a spacious, clean, and comfortable bed that provided me with a great night’s sleep. My room on the second floor had a view of the lush, green garden behind the property, which was very refreshing and airy.

The bicycle was a bit small for me ☹️

The staff were very enthusiastic, dediacted, and polite in their support. From the booking stage to before our check-in, they proactively reached out to provide information about the home, ensuring we had the most convenient preparation. My spouse and I were assisted with airport pickup and an early check-in. Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed by the housekeeper, who thoroughly introduced us to the home and shared interesting stories that made us excited about checking in. The room was arranged in a very harmonious manner, creating a light and nature-friendly atmosphere. The room's furnishings were charming and reflected the traditional culture of Hue. A small but appreciated touch was the book about Hue placed in the room, which impressed me as a book lover. Thank you for the "banh in" in the room; it was truly delicious when enjoyed with coffee or tea. The Vy Da room where we stayed was close to the garden at the back, offering a private space where we could relax in the morning with the cheerful chirping of birds around the garden. My spouse and I were assisted with booking a minivan to pick us up from the home and drop us off at a hotel in Hoi An. We are very grateful for this help, as it saved us a lot of travel time.

The names of the rooms are inspired by the landmarks along the Perfume River in Hue: This evokes many stories related to Hue’s culture, which I enjoyed hearing passionately shared during conversations. The room we stayed in was named Chợ Dinh, and it overlooked a beautifully lush garden. There are many interesting tourist spots around the home: We were introduced to a bike tour (available for free at the home) that took us to nearby landmarks in one day. It included unique experiences such as visiting a garden house, a incense-making village, a temple, swimming and paddleboarding on the Perfume River, breakfast with charcoal-grilled beef noodles, and a delicious Hue-style lunch. The support services are always available and of high quality: We easily and safely arranged airport transfers and a bus to Hoi An.

A small downside of De Hué is that booking a grab or taxi to the city center can be a bit challenging and may involve a longer wait.

The home uses up to 2/3 of its area for planting trees, both in the front and back, making it very green and cool. Although the home is new, it has many large trees. The home's furnishings are made from environmentally friendly materials, and it has an excellent waste sorting area. The staff here is very friendly. It was a pleasure talking to them; they always greet with a warm smile and look for the best ways to support guests.

It's a bit far from the center, so traveling by Grab or taxi can be a bit costly. However, you get to enjoy a green and peaceful environment in return.

Beautiful and unique design: the house is even more beautiful in person than in the photos on booking.com. The home uses many local materials, and the owner's meticulousness reflects a deep appreciation for Huế's cultural values. Green and airy space: My friend and I stayed in a room on the first floor, and opening the window allowed us to enjoy the green space of the garden behind the house. In the morning, you can hear the birds singing in the garden, and in the evening, watching the sunset from the second-floor corner is wonderful.
