"Lovely weekend away in a clean house!"

6.0

The location worked incredibly well for our visit. On arrival the property was super clean and tidy and looked well thought out.

Overall the property was in good condition and clean. We found the functioning of each room needed some additional details. Like each room should have hanging space, bedside tables and hooks on doors to hang other items as a standard. The bulbs in the rooms were very bright and we felt that they could be a smaller wattage. Like 40W not 100W. As 3 older ladies, we like breathable bedding and at some point in the evening we all felt like we were being suffocated by the duvet. One of my housemates said her pillow was dire. So perhaps an overhaul on the bedding and a little extra thought into lightweight breathable materials in the hotter months. The bathroom was lovely, the shower great. However as 3 women take over a space there is a need for things to have a space to be put down. We felt for the size of the bathroom. You could add some shelving or even a bathroom cabinet. The kitchen was also good however the doors on the cabinets were tricky to open. And there wasn’t a standard in terms of items left to be used. Ie: only tea and not sugar or coffee. If it’s something you’re going to offer. It should be a full set of things. In other places, you would get a full tea and coffee station, a basic stater kit for cleaning up. Washing up stuff, bags and recycling options. We know Bristol is hot in the recycling business and we share the motivation. However we couldn’t do so because there weren’t enough bins, bags or boxes to separate items. Lastly the garden, it was glorious this weekend however when you go into the garden it lets the house down. There are loads of weeds, stuff propped up against wall and the table is super wobbly. For longer summer stays you might want to consider getting a basic BBQ with cleaning and ash disposal instructions and a new garden set. To really elevate the experience- can I suggest getting better quality bedding and towels.

"Lovely property but needs a few adjustments considering the price"

8.0

The property is really lovely and spacious, the owner was really nice and great communication and the location was good

There is no lock on the bathroom door and the bathroom window doesn’t open. There were fag butts on the floor in the garden so an ash tray would be advisable. The dining room chairs were a bit faulty, one broke when sat on and there were a few other broken ones in the garden. The owner was really nice about this but I feel for the price it would be good to have better seating. The dining room is quite large but could benefit from another sofa or more seating, as you can book up to sleep 6 it makes no sense to have only 4 chairs. When the people in the living room are asleep there is no where comfy to sit.
