King of York

The apartment was in the perfect location. A little noisy early in the morning from bin collection.

Location and the apartment was cosy and warm.

As a family we loved the location. The apartment was close to the shambles the minster the york dungeons and restaurants and cafes. The car park was close to the apartment. The apartment was very clean and well equipped for 2 adults and our son. The milk.in the fridge on arrival was very welcomed and the apartment was ready before our check in time.

The shower was very poor. It was difficult to stand in properly due to the shower control panel.and the water was quite cold. Our main issue was the noise coming from the bar on the same side street as the apartment. The noise of the music was deafening to the point where we could not hear the TV in the apartment. We had a lovely time exploring York during the day and returned to the apartment at around 6pm. The nouse was dreadful at that point. We went out for dinner and did a fab ghost walk as a family and returned to the apartment at 1030pm. The noise was even worse. Thankfully my son managed to nod off but the music kept me awake as it was playing until around 130am.

1. The radiator in the living hall AND bedroom were not hot enough to feel warm at all. 2. The door of the bedroom cannot be fully closed at all. 3. Weak lightings in the corridor and the staircase in the building at all - despite switching on the white button, lights were not working efficient. 4. It was difficult to lock the main door from the inside of the house. 5. Radiator in the master bedroom is not hot enough too ‎for winter. 6. The water in the shower is not stable at all. Sometimes it’s strong, sometimes it’s weak. The temperature is very unstable too. Sometimes hot, sometimes cold. 7. Lack of details in relation to the level and number of unit to stay. 8. ⁠Size of fridge is impractical and previous stuffs were NOT cleared. The fridge was occupied substantially, hence we had very little spaces to put our own stuff 9. ⁠Remote control of the TV wasn’t working well. The “circle” button was broken, needed to use substantial strength to press it. Pls fix it, otherwise it’s quite useless as it affected the utility of the TV.

1. The location is good, right in the centre of York town. 2. Not far away from public transport for train & bus services. 3. Consider quiet and safe to stay.

The location was superb. It was close to all the things we wanted to see in York. The host was very friendly and was able to respond to my questions quickly.

I personally didn't find this a problem but the apartment is near restaurants/pubs so some people might find it noisy.
