King of York

Buena ubicación. Apartamento espacioso y luminoso con buenas comodidades. Anfitrión amable.

El anfitrión olvidó sacar la basura del huésped anterior. En la madrugada se escuchaba ruido de golpes de garrafas de gas en la calle que no nos permitió dormir (tal vez fue algo circunstancial). Tener en cuenta que hay que subir varios tramos de escaleras.

Space was excellent good size kitchen well equipped with soaps toilet roll and washing up liquid. (One dishwasher tablet would be handy though. And some fizz glasses. )Good size living area and bedroom. Excellent location for nipping into York shops / theatre. Comfy bed. Easy to find location.

The noise - Noise from the bar up the road for student night (Wednesday ) We went to bed late anyway but even so the music was banging ( not In a good way!) from up the road in to the past midnight hours and people on the street. I know to expect noise from a city centre apartment but awareness that it is more loud than you would expect if you want to quiet nights sleep. This needs to be made clearer for future guests. And the bins collecting early AM. ( this, I had read about ) Apart from this good stay!

Very spacious, ideally located. Didn’t really here much from the venue over the road only a little noise

Unfortunately the bed was quite hard, a soft mattress protector would help. It was only a double do it wasn’t really big enough for two adults, there is actually space for a king size. For that reason only we wouldn’t stay again

Checkout time was 10:30 a.m., which means I had to find another place to store my luggage because my train didn't leave York until 3:00 pm

Fab location. Teething troubles getting into the property with problems with door but soon rectified. Clean and everything you need.

Noisy. I know you are in a city but don't expect to get much sleep. Same street as Stone Roses pub which is open til 1am then spilling onto street. Bin men come daily at 6am and pubs empty their glass at 7am. If you're a heavy sleeper though you won't have any problems. Stairs getting into the property so may not be any good for elderly people.

The accommodation was spot on, lovely and clean with everything we needed for our brief stay. The owner was also very accommodating with regards to my request to check in early.

Don't use this accommodation if you want a lie in. Due the bars on the street we had glass bin lorries collecting at 6 am for about 30 mins. Definitely not a location for a morning slow wake up.
