King of York

This property ticked all of our boxes! I chose it due to the location as we needed to be close to the centre (mobility issues). Approx 6 min walk to The Shambles, but only a couple of mins away from other shops and restaurants. We parked in Coppergate Centre which is approx 6 min walk away. The property was spotless, well appointed with all needed for our stay (didn't use the kitchen facilities other than the kettle but all appliances available). I would recommend this property.

The only thing I would say affected our stay were the bin men very early in the morning (6am). Quite noisy emptying the bottles from the pub/restaurant/theatre premises directly opposite the property, but just doing their job! The brewery delivery also early morning was noisy, but again not a massive problem.

Perfect location and really nicely decorated to give it that homely feel, the owner was really good at supplying the relevant information for the prosperity and always replied in a timely manner

The shower wasn’t the cleanest and would go freezing cold randomly so would have to turn the shower off and back on to try reset the temperature

The apartment was lovely and in a fantastic location.

Everything was great but we found the bed really compact and uncomfortable which was the only downside here.

The location was excellent, centrally located and near the river. Absolutely wonderful. It was warm and cosy when we arrived and the kitchen has everything you need.

Only two thirds of the lights in the stairwell worked so we had to use phone torches. The lock on the door was faulty and stuck so we had to spend several minutes coaxing it to lock each time we left (although it opened perfectly). A draw in the kitchen was broken. The bed seemed to be a small double rather than a usual double.

unfortunately we struggled to sleep due to loud people in the street (from the bar / pubs), bedroom window seemed not sealed properly / couldn’t adjust it.
