The Pack Horse Inn

Location was really good and close to where we wanted to be. The room was lovely, really nicely done out and large and had everything we needed for our stay

There is a car park on site which was good, however, the entrance is quite narrow which can't be helped but if I had known I may have looked at alternative parking. However, managed the parking which was brilliant

Bed was comfortable

Not the room we thought we were getting pics all 4 poster bed,which was only reason we booked, disappointed it wasn't. Wall paper peeling off the wall, or held on with sellotape, not black out curtains, dead insects on window sill and behind sofa. Dust in bathroom and pubic hairs and thick dust on macerator. Bathroom window dosnt open. Fire extinguisher in wardrobe, no use in a fire. Kitchen closed so no food avaliable. Partner cut his finger on door catch. Tv only had 3 viewable channels the rest had no signal. Poor lighting on stairs. Not worth the money, everything except bed tired. Could be an amazing place if it was invested into.

The staff were excellent, the room was clean and it was good value for the price.

The facilities were a bit dated and a little shabby, it was an old inn but things like the electrics needed updating in my opinion. It was really hot so supplying fans for the room would have been good. We opened the window wide to try to get air in but it was to a road and the noise from the pub is quite loud until closing time which you expect but we couldn't close the window to shut it out because of the heat. And we had to be up at 5 in the morning for a swim vent, so very little sleep.

the price and location was far better than anything near by, the rooms were large, and the bed was super comfortable. the room was cool enough even with the 30degree weather.

the room was quite tatty, especially the bathroom, and the whole room could definitely do with a lick of paint.

Not much really

There was no evening meal being served. There was only 1 takeaway food outlet.

Shower could have been better

Good sized room. Comfy bed. South Brent a charming village on the edge of Dartmoor.

Hopeless shower. Noisy plumbing. Smelly bar in pub. No food on offer
