The Pack Horse Inn

The room, number 1, was very bright and spacious with comfortable chairs and windows that made the room very light. It was pleasantly furnished. The photos should be updated on the website though because they were photographed before refurbishment.

The fact that there was no breakfast but that c an't be helped. There is a fridge in the room though.

The staff were helpful and friendly. The beer was good

Very welcoming small village pub , friendly staff eager to please and make you comfortable, suited our needs perfectly.

The live (celtic/gaelic) music in the bar was exceptional, reasonable prices and a decent few local beers n ciders. Right on the doorstep of The Dartmoor Way, with exceptional access to some of the most beautiful countryside these tired eyes have seen.

The staff were great and the food was good. Although breakfast is not an option. Good location for Alnwick and Bamburgh Castles. Very rural and quiet location. Parking was good.

The beds were hard so we didn't get much sleep. The bathroom door knob kept falling off. The bedroom we had was above the Bar, so an early night is not recommended. No food on a monday night. No hot water on the morning of our departure so we had cold wash.
