Location and atmosphere

- Free parking, albeit small. - Spacious room. - Easy access to Dartmoor

- The shower water pressure was so low, the rain outside would have got me wetter. - Only one mug provided in a two person room.

The location was exactly where I wanted to be. The room was spacious, the bed was comfy, there were even a sofa and a bath. Lots of coffee/tea makings. The tv was large, and got regular channels, which I prefer. I had a special rate, so was very happy. I would probably have expected better at the usual rate (as people comment, it is an old building with chips and problems). I didn't have an issue with 'no food', as there is a Coop and a chippie around the corner and a restaurant two minutes away.

The wifi password was impossible. I tried every variation of capital and small, and never got it. The corridors were dark, so it was a bit of a struggle to open the door at the top of the stairs.

Great location for my needs. The bar man was very welcoming, in fact he was the saving grace to our whole experience. The room was large and warm. There was a little sofa in the room which was a lovely colour, so that added a bit of style. The bed sheets felt clean. Parking at the rear of the hotel was very useful.

The general feeling of the room was yack and grubby. There were horrible stains up the wall and on the carpet that looked like blood but was probably coffee, as it was right by the "tea station". The wall paper all over the room was falling off. The shower needed new sealant, full of black mould. Water pressure was poor so I could barely have a proper wash. The bed was too soft, (personal taste). There was no breakfast or food available on the premises. They never answered either of my 2 attempts at contacting the hotel to enquire regarding early and late check in.

Perfect for a quick stop over.
