Good house, and nice to have a downstairs loo! Located in a quiet area, just near Porta Catania, at the Western end of the main pedestrian street. There was a good supermarket only a few minutes walk away, and a cheerful bar, too. Taormina has some wonderful buildings, somewhat inundated with tourists, but the ancient Greek theatre and the public gardens were excellent, and quiet. The hilltop setting gives great views down to the sea, or across to Etna.

The town bus station is quite a hike away (20 minutes or so), but at least it is on the level! Due to the town's position on a steep hill, and the train station is at sea level, this is a more dramtic hike (off road) nearer to 40 minutes uphill or 35 down. This makes Taormina less useful to use as a base. The buses are cheap, and seem to run to time, but there are not many services. The house had good lighting - and it needed it - because nearby buildings kept it in the shade. There were some house rules which frowned at cooking 'certain dishes'; un-named but presumably smelly!

Nice and clean place in quiet neighbourhood, close to local shop, Main Street and not far from bus station. The video from host really helped us out to find right door 🙈

the apartment is very spacious and great to have a 1/2 bath downstairs! there is a great food market only steps away so you can make use of the kitchen. I loved the coffee machine and the pods they made available for us. communication was always very quick and complete with the host!!! we really enjoyed our time at this place and would love to return!’

Everything was great! The communication with the host was super easy and helpful. The apartment had everything you might need, like: iron, hairdryer, shampoo etc. The location is super close to the center and it’s really spacious
