Rock Mill - Deluxe Studio Apartments

A cooked breakfast available at the Cupola almost next door. Rock Mill is a beautiful building, well converted. A great location to go out from and explore.

Great location! Some of the finishing touches could do with some attention. The stained duvet was lumpy and ill fitting and dismayed not to find a cafetière or a decent frying pan, and no response to my query asking about it. Apart from that, all good.

Rock mill is in a beautiful setting, the apartment was easy to access and inside was bright, modern and very very clean. The kitchen was stocked with everything you’d need to cook a meal but also easy to get to local restaurants from the location. We loved our stay there.

The bed was clean, lovely and large but for me the mattress was too soft. I realise that not everyone likes a hard mattress but a happy medium could have been better, not a dealbreaker though as everything else was wonderful.

It was well equipped clean and a great location. Everything within easy reach with the restaurant being next door was also very good

Nothing really to not like

Room size was good. Bathroom was modern, lovely shower. Kitchen facilities were modern and good. Balcony was a great addition. Great amount of storage for the room. Great to have a boot room and other facilities.

Rooms aren’t sound proof, could hear a lot of other people walking past and talking. Bed was very very soft which wasn’t very comfortable after two nights. Floor wasn’t the cleanest, alongside this wouldn’t of been good to be left with an anti bacterial spray for the kitchen.

Really good facilities - lots of free parking, bike and boots locker room & washing facilities, EV charging, dog wash. Good sized rooms, nice big bathroom. The receptionist I spoke to every morning on my way out was really friendly and helpful, she’s a real credit to the place! Nice kitchen area with everything you need.

There’s not much I didn’t like, but the cleaning crew definitely need to up their game if they’re working in ‘deluxe’ apartments. The toothbrush holder in the bathroom looked like it had never been cleaned in its life which is very unhygienic. Floor hadn’t been swept or hoovered very well (if at all) - loads of bits of foods etc along the bottoms of the kitchen units. Lots of the kitchen utensils etc needed washing before use. Whole room looked in need of repainting, lots of scuffs all over the walls, and ceiling! TV signal was very patchy, but I guess that’s understandable given the location. Was only left 1 toilet roll in bathroom, and no spare kitchen towel supplied. Washing up liquid supplied had been watered down rather than replaced/refilled. WiFi took a lot of faffing to get it to connect to my devices. It’s a great place to stay, but I feel these points all knocked it out of the ‘deluxe’ category.

The apartment was lovely everything we needed for a two night stay.
