"A superb value, lovely cottage! Just be aware of the challenges"

9.0

Beautiful and cosy, loads of charm and character but still hatching very modern bathroom/kitchen/appliances/heating; the best of both worlds! Included microwave, air fryer, iron, dishwasher & washing machine. Small table with 2 chairs for eatong. Pretty much everything you might need for a short-medium stay. Lovely log burner. Super comfy bed and spacious bedroom in relation to the property size. Very helpful host with detailed information provided, and she even helped us with finding local taxis to get to our event. Had tea/coffee/kitchen bits, and even some fresh milk in the fridge for us. Plenty of ready towels and bedding, very clean and well cared for. Great price and I would say it provided excellent value for that price as well. Sitiated in a small town with a few restaurants and cafes and a Co-Op only a few minutes drive or 10 mins walk away. Nice & quiet in the evenings, peaceful. We came for two nights for a wedding nearby so can't comment on the local attractions but there were lots of brochures in the property about activities. I can't say we will return to this area of Cornwall but if we did I would definitely consider book again for a similar price. I would recommend the stay for the right people and right occasion.

Up a short but steep hill on a road not accessible by car and with no dedicated parking, we had to park down the hill on an adjacent road. We were aware of this when we booked thanks to the reviews. Stairs inside property are very steep and low headroom at the property doorways for us as two tall people. Not appropriate for all especially if you would struggle getting your luggage up the hill to the property or with steep stairs, which I didn't realise when booking, but we found it fine as a young couple. I struggled to get down the hill to the taxi in my heels though when we went to the wedding. Overall we had a lovely time, but just be aware! Could use a curtain at the living room window (pictured) for privacy and a shower curtain would help in the bathroom. Another note is not directed to the property at all, but more about visiting Cornwall: taxis are extortionate!!!! We picked this place as we didn't want to pay the high price for the hotel at the wedding event, and this was only 20 mins from the venue but the taxi charge was so high that we may aswell have stayed at the hotel! I was told this is pretty common for Cornwall, and I wish I had known before our trip so I've included it in this review.

"Beautiful cottage, clean, comfortable, very well equipped, would definitely return"

9.0

Beautiful cottage, clean, comfortable, well equipped, located walking distance of the co-op. Everything has been thought of at this cottage to make our stay amazing and memorable, host was very helpful and replied to my messages quickly

No good if you have difficulty walking as there is a steep hill to climb from where you can park but this didn't affect us

"Beautiful little cottage with gorgeous view!"

9.0

The cottage is very homely. We loved the cleanliness and facilities. It had everything we needed. The garden was beautiful and we spent hours there enjoying a chilled drink. The shower is really good. Living room very comfortable and relaxing. Kitchen well fitted with all the utensils we needed. We would definitely recommend this beautiful cosy cottage.

Just a couple of little comments. There is parking outside the cottage but you cannot use it and have to park down a nearby road. It’s a short but steep trek with suitcases etc. Also we found the bed a little softer than we are used to and the stairs are quite steep.

"A lovely little stay"

10.0

Perfect cosy little cottage in a good location for visiting the Eden project. Close to the local town too, with a small shop and places to eat within walking distance. The cottage had everything we could possibly need, and was decorated immaculately with a well equipped kitchen and modern bathroom. A lovely stay.

One thing to note is that the property is up quite a steep hill and you can’t park outside, so it is a short but challenging walk with luggage etc. I’m recovering from a broken ankle and found it quite difficult! This is absolutely not a fault with the property, but it’s worth bearing in mind if you have access needs or are less able.

Lovely cottage, fully equipped.

Not being able to park the car near to the property. It would have been a nice welcome also to have at least a pint of milk in the fridge. A tea towel would have been helpful too to dry up.
