Great location with great views over the mountains and valley. Big comfortable bed. Good equipped kitchen. Close to volo dell’Angelo ticket office, the sledge, supermarket and good restaurants. Great host. We stayed for 3 nights which allowed us to do a mix of enjoying views and food and experiencing some physical activities too.

The closet and drawers were full bed blankets, sheets and towels so we had to lay our clothes on the bunk bed.

Parking was busy and we had to walk a little distance away to find it. We arrived on a weekend so that may have not helped.

Well situated in a quiet village (late November)

The property was cold when we arrived, and we had to ask the host for instructions on the heating - a noisy old pellet stove in the main room. As we were travelling to the property she informed us by WhatsApp that there would be no water between 7pm and 7am, something she must have known earlier - if we had known, we would have changed our plans. It turned out there was no water any night of our stay - we had to flush the toilet with a bucket. The bathroom despite lack of water was damp - no bathmat. The kitchen had dubious electrics - a wire with a broken adaptor plug for both microwave and kettle - and at one stage we had a complete power cut - turns out that the circuit breakers in the street weren’t suited to the power required. If I could be bothered, I’d ask for a partial refund.

This apartment is in a great location in the charming town of Castelmezzano! The communication between the host and us was seamless. The apartment is a short walk from the town square, has a great view from the bedroom window/balcony overlooking the rest of the town and the mountains in the distant. It was exceptionally clean and tidy, providing everything you would need for a great stay. If you have a car, there is parking in the lots or on the street at the beginning of the town and then it is a short walk to the apartment (as this area of town is pedestrian only). We only stayed for 1 night on the way through the southern part of Italy but I wish we could have stayed longer. I would definitely recommend staying here!

The lovely apartment is spotless, is in a great location in the centre of the town close to bars and restaurants, and has the most amazing view of the town and the valley across to Pietrapertosa, including "Il Volo dell'Angelo".

We were a little disappointed that nobody was available to great us or drop by during our stay to check on us, although Luigi did communicate with us via email. The only negatives were that the wardrobe was full of blankets and supplies with no room to hang anything, and the drawers were all locked for some reason, so we had to lay out our clothes on the spare bunk-beds. A caution for anyone in their later years, or with mobility issues, is that finding a parking spot in one of the town's small lots is fairly difficult at the end of the day, and the walk down and back up to the large pay parking lot above the town is very steep.
