"Cosy wee retreat from the world"

9.0

A great break to get away from the world. The owners are very eco conscious and that is reflected in the set up. The hut was as comfortable as they could make it and had lots of covers and a good thick duvet to keep you cosy.

Slight drawback is that it is a compost toilet which meant on a windy evening it was rather breezy in areas I'd rather weren't exposed to the cold! At the same time I did travel in October and the location more than made up for that.

Impressive eco micro-home in a lovely part of the world.

The current builders are a noise problem but hope fully that will be fixed by next year. Water supply is limited and washing for two would be a challenge. Need to be warned that there is, understandably, only a microwave for cooking.

The cabin was great value for money and had everything we needed, the toilet was a compost toilet which was fine but was covered in spider webs that let it down, other than this I have no complaints, the owners was very friendly and welcoming. The location has to be the most peaceful place I have ever been.

"Great location, comfortable hut and friendly hosts"

8.0

Very comfortable and warm wee hut, in a great location. Quiet countryside location but only 25 min walk into the shops, pubs, or for food. Enjoyed sitting on the balcony at night watching the surrounding view. And great hosts.

Eco toilet attached to the hut was okay but would have been nice to have an eco shower as well, although I understand why there isnt one
