The Rock Inn Hotel, Pub & Restaurant

Food was delicious. A beautiful surrounding as well.

Had a call 3 hours before arrival that the restaurant was closed, the room allocated had no kettle missing tv from wall mounting no heating very cold, Moved room, so badly managed, the staff on site were very helpful. We had planned for a gastro pub experience with the food, and travelled ages to find evening food. The bar was also closed. A complete nightmare and disaster. Another couple turned up and were told it was closed, although they had a booking through Expedia. Would not recommend!!!!!!

The location was beautiful, lovely room which was clean and tidy.

Booked for work colleagues, hotel called me an hour after the booking saying they needed to cancel the 2 rooms as they had a plumbing issue. Not responding regarding a refund

The hotel was closed when I arrived and I had had no phone call or email to tell me it wouldn't be open and I haven't heard about a reund still - a week later.

Food was lovely, beautiful Sri Lankan curry. Saw 2 staff they were friendly. Breakfast was fantastic! The stay was good value for money. Bed comfy

Service was very slow for breakfast and we were the only people staying there! Food when order eventually taken, breakfast was delicious. Coffee was terrible, rooms are basic but it was a good price, so no tea or coffee facilities, fair enough. But would have been nice to have 2 glasses in the room so at least can have a drink of water.

The room was cold with no heating and no hot water, The bath had no plug. I did speak to the staff who found a plug although it didn't fit the bath properly and we had no hot water for a bath. They offer complimentary bath and shower products but these were in tubs and tubes that didn't look very inviting and had labels that looked like they had been made by children so we didn't use these items. When we went for our evening meal we mentioned that we had no hot water and the room was freezing, we were advised that they had checked their boiler and everything should be fine. When we returned it was still very cold, eventually they said we could move to another room which was warm and cosy. TV in the room has two channels not great when you just want to chill out in the room and watch something. Breakfast - we were advised that breakfast was from 9am. This felt quite late but as we were away we made the most of it and had a late start to the day. We went down to the bar area around 9:15 it was in darkness and nobody was around, I rang the bell, still nothing. I went back to the room and called them to be advised they had arrived and we could go down for breakfast. The gentleman who had arrived asked if we wanted a drink but stated he couldn't make them as he didn't know how to use the coffee machine but he would call someone to come and make our drinks. We ordered tea and a white coffee, I decided to go back to the room and make a hot drink to take down to have for breakfast. Someone did arrive and make drinks and we ordered breakfast. After nearly an hour we did have breakfast which was ok. Check out - when we came down to check out the gentleman who had been serving us was sat having a chat on his mobile this was clearly a chat with a friend or family member not work related he saw me at the bar with keys and looked at me and continued with his conversation. I felt this was extremely rude.
