I wanted accommodation for three adults over 60 years. The bedroom was fine but the second sleeping place was a mezzanine floor off the living room more suitable for children. It was very hot there and there were no high level curtains to block the light. The bathroom sink didn’t drain efficiently. The electric shower failed during its second use. The shower tray filled with water during use. There was supposed to be a spa pool we were looking forward to using but it was clearly out of service and had been for sometime.
GBThe apartment was beautiful. There was everything in there that we needed, and more we came straight out of the gates to a pub over the river 20-second walk and shops within 5 minute drive.
The only downside was my own fault in all fairness because I didn't read all of the conditions and after booking they wanted a £200 deposit incase of breakages that you get back up to seven days later back into your bank or pay a £39 waver none refundable so I went with the waver so the apartment cost me extra.
GBGBModern apartment with all of the facilities we needed. Location was great and it was nice & quiet but easy to walk into town and to get to the train station. Very handy having an allocated parking space. It was very clean.
I wasn’t aware that the twin beds were on a mezzanine level so that was interesting having to climb up into bed each night (especially as I was travelling with my 63 year old father!) but we coped. The bathroom was quite small and not ideal for my 6ft 5 brother in law either. I would suggest leaving a small face towel for each guest as well as a larger towel as we only had one bath towel each and a small hand towel for drying hands. We also ran out of loo roll pretty quickly so for a 3 night stay it would have been good if more was provided but we managed to get some from a local shop.
