Luxury on a Budget Chelmsford - B&B ROOM in a quiet family home

Very pleasant accommodation with an excellent breakfast and great communication from the owner.

This was great value for money, 10 mins drive from the station and 10 mins drive to town. The room was clean and tidy and Sue had thought of everything! Tea and coffee facilities in the room, the price includes breakfast which you help yourself to downstairs and this was an extensive choice. There were also chocolate bars, crisps, pot noodles if you had been travelling to have free of charge. I had a comfortable 2 nights sleep, it is easy to find with easy parking. It is a shared bathroom but there is a downstairs bathroom if it is occupied, which it never was during my stay. I would certainly stay again if in the area, this is the hostess with the mostest!

It was clean

There were a couple of issues during my stay. When I arrived, the water in the shower was extremely hot. I was unable to adjust the temperature despite trying. I almost burned myself while using the shower. The next day, I spoke with the landlord over the phone to explain the issue. I told her that I had tried to adjust the temperature but was unsuccessful. She raised her voice and insisted that I had not tried, and told me I could move out if I wanted. I found this response unpleasant and unprofessional for a business owner. In addition, I parked my car on the driveway as instructed. The next morning, I found a scratch on my car door. It appeared that another car—possibly the landlord’s—had been parked very close to mine, and the door had been opened into my car.

Very comfortable bed, modern shower, breakfast with many different items on offer, straightforward entry and exit arrangements, quiet location.

A number of small things, easily rectified. In particular, the house could be a bit warmer on April evenings - there was no heating on then.

Easy directions, very welcoming , host went above and beyond catering for your every need. Comfortable bed, multiple choice of breakfast, drinks and snacks. Very clean, warm and comfortable with free parking and only £6 for an uber into town.

the concept of non-contact hosts worked just fine for me, the selection of food to help yourself was fantastic and unexpected!!!
