"An epic break away"

We've just returned and we've already rebooked. It was that fantastic. From the beautiful surroundings and the house, which is a home that is obviously loved and made to feel magical, to the cosy fire after a long walk in one of the many stunning locations nearby: this is the best place we've ever stayed at. The hosts, Richard and Rachel, are the kindest; most accommodating people. Nothing was too much to make our stay epic. They went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. They truly made the holiday special. Our dog, Larry, didn't want to leave! We could say more but this would turn into an extremely long list. We can't wait to go back!

"100% will be going back - for the area, sure, but mostly to visit with Rachel and Richard!"

Rachel and Richard made us feel like we were at home from the second we arrived till the moment we left. Full access to their kitchen and fridge made is so we didn't have to ask for a coffee or toast or water for our dog which meant it was a bit of a gathering space. We easily chatted at meal times and were given great recommendations on places to eat and visit.

The only downside was our dog (English Bull Terrier) didn't like the spiral staircase to get to the bedrooms but Rachel did say he could sleep in the living room - I just didn't trust him not to eat the cushions!

Just the best stay we have had, everything was really lovely from the log fire waiting for us when we arrived on a cold dark evening, to the wonderfully stocked and equipped kitchen. The views from the house were beautiful and the walk up the mountain from the front door led to panoramic views of the surrounding area. Fantastic to walk with our little dog Cant wait to visit again, Richard and Rachel are the best hosts !
