Travel from airport…

Nothing in particular, the whole journey was a not very pleasant

Tv was not working, apartment was too old, etc

The scenery was amazing. The cottages were beautiful and clean. It is a place to relax, have a retreat and be away from everything else happening in the world

The TV didn't work most of the duration there. The staff could be more approachable and friendly.

The staffs were nice,the peaceful environment

There were loads of thing advertised in the facility that wasn't working,on getting there they tried giving us a different accommodation to what we paid for,then I was told I will have to pay an extra $58 per night for it.It took over 2 hours to check in .The shower wasn't working properly(spitting water with low pressure)the air conditioner downstairs was flooding the living room.The cart to convey us was a hassle because it didn't come at times,we missed breakfast on one occasion,The bicycles and scooter advertised were all broken (Death trap ).The power went off up to 6 times on the first night.No staff at the sports Center bar to serve us.The buffet had limited choice.Overall waste of money .The place has potentials to make a lot of money but the maintiance and process is what is lacking.Its baffling that you have to rely on a WhatsApp chat to communicate with reception

Overall, Lakowe Lakes is a great getaway if you need some quiet time in nature and away from the buzz of the city. The facility is well planned and the golf course is spectacular. It has several patches of the lake cutting across the golf course which makes for an amazing and relaxing view. The facility is well kept and the staff were generally helpful. I will go back there again for golf and a getaway from the buzz of the city. The architecture of the facility is brilliant and i was quite impressed.

The reservation process is not very straightforward. They have several numbers on their website for reservation and only one of the numbers works (but there is no one to attend to you after 5pm, which logically is the period when most folks get off work and can actually create time to make a hotel reservation for a trip, so this was very disappointing). In addition, i made a reservation on Booking.com with my VISA card but received an email from the property stating i should make payment to their bank account otherwise the reservation would not be complete. This would be very challenging for folks who do not have a local bank account in Nigeria (i was lucky to have an account in Nigeria but i am sure there are several folks who are challenged with this). The rooms were okay but a couple of things stood out which i did not like: 1. The thick curtains in the room could not be pulled open to get some light into the room in the morning, you literally have to find a way to open the curtain to get some light into the room (not the usual curtains which just slide and open once you pull). This was frustrating. 2. There was no trash can in the bathroom - i believe this is basic and all hotel rooms should have a trash can in the room and in the bathroom 3. there was no soap holder in the shower area, so you either had to put the body wash bottle on the floor while taking your shower or hold it in your hand. this is basic and should be fixed 4. the tables in the restaurant are not cleaned immediately when other guests leave the table, so i found myself on several occasions cleaning the table myself to make it comfortable before we ate. Great property but all these things that cause discomfort to the guests should be fixed quickly.
