Duck Cottage in the centre of Henley

Spacious cottage tucked away close to the center of the town. Excellent facilities throughout the property with everything provided that you might need for a stay. Good quality furnishings and clean throughout. Instructions for access arrangements were clear and easy to follow and a useful house manual with information about the property and surrounding area. A well equipped fully sized and functioning kitchen.

The parking space is a little tricky to maneuver into if other guests at neighboring property are also parked, but with a little practice is fine.

The location was fantastic- so convenient for all that Henley has to offer. The house was decorated to a high standard, newly carpeted and with a modern, well-equipped kitchen including generous amounts of coffee, tea, cooking oil etc. The sitting room was very comfortable with plenty of seating and a variety of games. Clean, modern bathrooms with good showers and fluffy towels.

The windows were draughty, especially behind the twin beds, and voices could be heard from the nearby pub until 11.30pm both evenings.

The property was a great space and homely. Kitchen well equipped. Great location. Parking was good.

The property was clean in the main, but quite dusty in places and lacked ever so slightly on the finer detail. The bed most definitely wasn’t a ‘full bed’, as advertised, it was tiny (tempted to say a 3/4 size?)! So much so, being heavily pregnant i had to sleep in one of the downstairs bed. Just to be aware too that it’s twin beds in the downstairs bedroom and not a double as advertised in the pictures - worked perfect for us but may not for others.

Overall very, very good 😊. A few points noted above.

Top floor double bed is TINY. Downstairs shower room gets very wet when you have a shower. Hot water heater made a lot of noise - a bit scary! Could have been a bit cleaner - out of date food in the fridge!!!!!
