excellent location for tourning Northumberland- close to Alnwick, Bamburgh, Seahouses. Also travelled 60 miles to visit Vindolanda roman dig and also a couple of days in Beamish before heading on to this location. Holy Island and Lindisfarne Castle well worth a visit! Property was very clean ( my number 1 requirement above all else ) and it was very stylishly decorated with good appliances. Unfortunately the door to the oven didnt shut properly but this didnt affect the cooking and the owners knew about it and were dealing.A lovely small private garden which we didnt use due to the adverse weather unfortunately.

Parking is tight if there are a few larger cars staying at the neighbouring properties. The accomodation is very small. I would have felt claustophobic if I was a person who spent a lot of the holiday indoors ( which we never do - so not a problem). There was very limited cupboard space for your own food purchases in the kitchen. Although the decor was lovely it could have had (and I would have appreciated)another tower unit in the kitchen to accomodate this - aesthetically this may have detracted but it would have been more practical. Luckily this holiday we ate out a lot - if you enjoy cooking it is tight for space. These are minor niggles and stated because I have been asked to answer this question. I have only one actual complaint - there is no tumble drier. There is a washing machine and I am sure a washer drier could have been accomodated . The weather the week we stayed was worse than we expected and it was necessary to wash some clothing ( we were out doors in poor weather quite a bit) and had to dry the clothes on an airer in the wet room which was not very satisfactory.

Lovely cottage with everything you needed location was very central. Cottage was very clean

Parking was a little tight but we managed could do with a few signs to find the cottage

Location was excellent and the property was to a very high standard. Very cosy and clean and the kitchen had everything you needed. We didn't use the parking but that is definitely a bonus as well. Not much we would have changed really.

I wasn't so keen on the wet room bathroom but my husband didn't mind it. I would have liked a wiper to do the floor with so quicker to walk on once used. The bedroom radiator wouldn't turn off. And if I had to be picky: the TV in the bedroom was so small you couldn't see screen from the bed. One other thing would be some wall hooks to hang the dressing gowns on rather than in the cupboard space once clothes in there and towels. We had to hang them over the bannister but shame to cover them up.
