"Peaceful retreat"

It's a modern yet quirky upside down house. Spotlessly clean and right in the centre of the village

It's located fairly close to the A1M, but I found it was about an hour's travel to the main tourist attractions That said it does mean that you are half way between York and Durham.

"A fantastic stay with attentive hosts in a beautiful village."

Fantastic location, hosts living next door were really helpful with washing some clothes for us as no laundry facilities nearby. Lovely "upside down" layout meant fab views from the living area. Easy to access (10 mins off A road) with parking directly outside. Great offer of nearby swimming pool / sauna / steam room. Helpful visitor info book with some good walks througly marked out. It was perfect for us.

All windows could of also had blinds alongside the curtains in the bedroom to help with sleep!

Lovely comfortable property in idyllic location in pretty English village. Actually nicer than photos illustrate. Local shop / cafe and pub very convenient and welcoming. Host was friendly and accommodating.

The cottage was comfy, clean, well equipped, and the hosted, Russel, very friendly. The cottage is in a beautiful village with a pub small shop with tea rooms. Spa was a lovely addition
