Nice property only recently modernised, all facilities/ equipment available you need. Owners good communication and helpful. Location near Barnard Castle and beautiful Teesdale.

We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back. The house is perfect for our needs and beautifully presented and brilliantly thought out. The village is such a lovely village and the locals have made us feel so welcome in The Cross Keys. The Brownlow Arms fed us extremely well for very little money. It’s a fab base. Russell made us feel so welcome and having use of the local spa facilities was an added bonus! Thank you for having us 😊

"Amazing value for money and a little gem of a cottage in a gorgeous location."

What a lovely find this was. The photos on the website really do not show you what this cottage is like. IIt's an upside down house and it overlooks a green which has been set up with goal posts so our boys were very entertained! The local pub The Cross Keys serves a reduced menu at the moment but it was still delicious! Burgers, pizzas, etc..but all served beautifully. The Brownlow Arms in the next village of Caldwell is also delightful and very reasonably priced with an extensive menu. We visited Richmond, Barnard Castle and High Force in our short time at the cottage. The cottage has everything you need for a short break away. Amazing value for money!

Had a lovely break at the Old Milk House. Beautiful house, spotlessly clean and had everything we needed to make our stay comfortable. Location was great, in a quiet village setting and a good base to explore Yorkshire dales..Russel was the perfect host, very helpful and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

"Perfect getaway cottage"

Beautiful modern cottage in a very pretty village. There is plenty to see and do nearby. The village has a lovely pub and general stores. The owners live next door and are very friendly and helpful.

Needed an iron and hairdryer, but everything else was perfect.
