We had a great stay, the Old Milk House is situated right in front of the village green and is done out beautifully with all the amenities anyone could need. The rooms are spacious and tastefully decorated and the views are gorgeous. The village of Eppleby is really pretty and it was lovely to just be able to pop to the village shop and the local pub within 1 mins walk. So convenient. It’s great that the yard to the side of the property is fully enclosed so you could leave the dogs outside to dry off for a while. The village itself is lovely the local pub and village shop very friendly. The location is great for visiting attractions nearby. Within 20 mins was Richmond and we were lucky enough to take a beautiful but blustery walk along the river taking in Richmond castle and the absolutely stunning Richmond Falls. Also, we stopped off to take a walk around Easby Abbey which again was beautiful to see. There are plenty of walks around and the property itself is easy to find not far off the A1 one junction above Scotch Corner. Russell and Clare were friendly and answered all our questions and responded to our messages quickly. I would highly recommend The Old Milk House to stay while visiting the area.
