The Sun Inn, Felmersham

The room was beautifully appointed and finished to a high standard, the bed was very comfortable with luxurious linens and there were unexpected extras like snacks, high quality toiletries and even spare toothbrushes.

We chose The Sun as it was best located for a trip we were making that day. Their evening dinner only had one option available, The Farmers Table tasting menu. I struggle with large meals but did enjoy it, with me giving most of mine to my husband to finish. I would have preferred to be able to choose a smaller meal. It was disappointing to see another couple, arriving just as we had finished, ask for a different menu and be served alternative food as I would have preferred.

Pete was brilliant, even kept chef after Sunday lunch that ended at 3pm, to cook us a meal at 7.30pm. Room was lovely, but compact. The staff were exceptional, the beer garden was great, lots of locals, an open mike night on Tuesday evening. We had brilliant weather which helped. The food was lovely, when we were able to get it. Pub closed completely Monday, Food available Tuesday until Sunday 3pm.

Because it was room only, which we realised, there was absolutely nowhere to get any breakfast, which we feel should really be pointed out. There was a great fridge in the room with organic milk, tea coffee etc, and yummy local apple juice. We bought cereal for our next 2 mornings. We really couldn't open the new windows, even though the keys were there . But it was a lovely place to stay overnight. If you were staying for longer nowhere to hang any clothes, just a rack with 3 coat hangers. It was a very comfy but double bed, so beware .

Beautiful location charming village, nice walks nearby. Rooms were outstanding! - do not hesitate with this - just book it - you will not be disappointed!

Super location, beautifully decorated accommodation, friendly hosts, fabulous breakfast made with locally sourced produce.

We booked because we were dining at The Sun. The room was perfect for our needs and made the visit for a meal really special. The team at The Sun were friendly and helpful and talking about the food we'd eaten, with chef/patron afterwards, was a treat.

Very friendly, very approachable, yet professional. The food was exceptional as well. It was the right mixture of comfort, friendliness, professionalism and relaxation.

We had a wonderful stay at the Sun Inn. The room and food were exceptional. The staff were so friendly and made us feel very welcome. The chef cooked us an outstanding breakfast both mornings, we also had the farmers table menu on Thursday evening. I would highly recommend this, the food is outstanding and so tasty. We parked up when we arrived and didn’t move the car until we left. We went out walking both days from the pub, the first day a 9 mile walk and the second day 15 miles through 5 neighbouring villages. Thank you for such a wonderful stay in an idyllic location.

Beautifully decorated, sumptuous bedding. Bathroom was divine ( fabulous shower). Lovely staff.

Felt breakfast should be included for the price.
