Eyja Mork - Aurora Dome with Private Bathroom and other facilities

Amazing views, comfy place to sleep. Everything was perfect for a small getaway. However, I reckon bringing food in with you as shops aren't close by.

The road leading in pass the waterfalls were full of potholes, was a bit hectic getting in and out of there.

We had a very cosy, couple of nights in the dome with the sighting of the Northern Lights on our first night. There are so many blankets and heaters provided to make it a perfect night under the stars. The heated blanket in the bed was particularly welcome! We had a BBQ both nights which worked very well for us. The only thing that didn't work was the shower but the owner fixed it the same day, a very cold but liberating experience once it worked! Highly recommend!

The heating pads on the beds were amazing and we loved everything about our stay!

Lodging is exactly as described, and the very detailed instructions made for an easy access to the dome. The bed was comfortable and, once we got the heaters going, the cold was limited to shower and bathroom visits.

There was no toilet paper - given the dome is very remote, it was not possible to go get more, and we had to improvise, which made for considerable hassle and a less then comfortable use of the facilities. We arrived late and while walking up to the dome, we greeted a group that was gathered at the room near the parking area, but were met with utter silence (we do not know if our hosts were among them, as nobody spoke to us). When we got to the top, there was a neighboring dome (not mentioned in the description) and we got too close before we figured out our mistake, probably disturbing the guest who was laying in bed by then (my apologies). This could be better specified in the description. It also makes for a less secluded area then originally expected, as we could hear them and see the light from their dome (and they probably could see ours as well). The outside shower is a great hassle at night and in the cold, but this was adequately described in the advertisement and we were prepared beforehand. However, we were there for the aurora, and the shower light does not turn off, which created some light pollution when photographing with professional cameras.

I think this was my favourite staying during our trip in Iceland. The dome is just so unique super nicely decorated inside, including so many equipments that our one night stay was just perfect! Although we really used all heating options but with the blanket heating it was nice to sleep. Also the outdoor sitting area was super cozy you can even use a heater if you want to sit out in the evening. This place will always be very special to me because we also saw the Aurora for the first time here ! Since it's away of any light pollution, the Aurora was showing off beautifully. It was the most beautiful Aurora that we saw during our stay in Iceland. When we return to Iceland, I will definitely reserve it again! :)

The location and the whole set up was fabulous, the bed and bedding was so snuggly, slept amazingly! The outdoor shower added to the experience. We got very lucky with a sunset and a bit of an aurora show too. Would have loved to stay for longer

We LOVED how quiet and comfortable the property was. I had a difficult time getting one of the heaters started, and the owner was SUPER responsive when I called and emailed!

We didn't love that the shower and WC were outside....the day we were there it rained, I was getting cold rained on while trying to take a hot shower also I didn't like tracking water into the dome like that otherwise it wasn't that big of a deal!!!!
