There’s no hot water in the unit, team doesn’t respond to emails or texts via bookings.com. Can’t cater to an adjusted late check out. All round inconvenient and extremely pricey for the area. They offer coffee and tea with no milk. Soap & shampoo in the bathroom is dish washer soap and towels are dirty. Windows don’t open properly. No security at reception between 8-9:30am. Honestly ridiculous service. I don’t recommend booking with Top Host Property - property looks nothing like the images provided.

The flat smells disgusting. I checked out early due to how bad the smell was as I could not sleep or even be in the flat. I tried opening windows, spraying perfumes and put the fan on but this did not help. I reported this to the property within my first few hours of being there and they responded to me two weeks later. I was given no resolution and declined my request for a partial refund. If you're going to rent out homes commercially you need to be able to respond to your clients, you cannot respond two weeks after they've checked out. I can see on review from other people that they have reported the smell in the flat and nothing has been done about it. Their response to my report was also unsatisfactory and they did not commit to even as little as going to check the smell in the flat. The flat was technically clean, but the smell is unbearable. I would never stay here again or book with this property company.

Most dreadful experience in my 15+ years of travel! You are staying in middle of homeless shelters/camps and it's inhabitants! There are at least 5-6 campsites around the building! Forget about the Table mountain view! You won't be looking at it as below the balcony there are once again shelters! Don't get me started about the condition of apartment. It is advertised as chic. Only chic thing about it was the nightly "entertainment" when trash and waste was being burned outside of your balcony! And again in morning!!! Upon entering the flat, it greats you with unpleasant musky smell. The walls are banged up throughout the place. Riddled with basic furniture. The closet which you cannot properly open and windows which can't be opened. It the living room you are greated with cables all around the place enough to power up small factory. The lock on entry doors seems like someone has tampered with. Also upon arrival internet was not working. And the security were requesting the plastic card which is used for the entry of the property, needless to say it was not left for me. To be honest, in the first 15 minutes of my arrival I already made up my mind that I cannot be staying here, this is not what Cape Town is all about, it is such a beautiful place, but not here, not in district six, not in this apartment building.The lady from top host were very polite however we could not find the compromise in my situation so I suppose they are okay to live with 1* review and with all the compromising videos/photos that I am about to post. Fair enough, enjoy your 500£, I hope it was worth it and it is such a shame we could not find common ground in this situation when I am on holiday and all what I can think is my well being and security which is impossible task in this location/area/property. Special shout out to Shane, you need to learn basic maniers!

To add, since being in Cape Town I have been in Simon's Town and it's nearby area, Noordhoek, Hout Bay, Constantia, Seapoint Camps Bay Greenpoint Mouille point Bloubergstrand and NOWHERE situation are like this. Nowhere! So please, do yourself a favour and stay in any of these locations rather than in distric six ZOMBIE LAND!!!!

The location was very central and had a beautiful view of table mountain. It was also very near to the place i was working from so another added bonus. The apartment had all the necessary amenities - wi-fi, a coffee machine and other appliances, parking... (even for guests) and the elevator was a bonus especially if you have a couple of bags.

The area didn't feel safe but I just made sure to Uber around.

The location was good. Amazing views of the Table mountain and also had easy access to most of the places. The checkin and checkout instructions were clear. The apartment is fairly well furnished and apt for a couple of nights stay.

Wifi wasn't working during the night, messaged the host but it wasn't fixed. The bedroom seems a bit cramped considering the size of the bed
