D'Rami

Very clean hotel in a perfect location. There are few rooms only as it used to be an apartment (two apartments actually). My room #1 was very quiet as it overlooked the inner yard but the neighborhood is very lively. Staff very helpful and nice. The hotel doesnt serve breakfast but there is an agreement with the restaurant downstairs where you can have it (i think there is a 10% discount for the guests, i might be mistaken as i was in a hurry) It is not a typical hotel in a way how hotels are usually organized (some people are complaining about the absence of an elevator as it is situated on a 3rd floor) but you have everything you need, the nice young man Igor helped me with the luggage up&down, there is a 24/7 huge supermarket 1 minute walking distance and it is a good value for the money. Besides it is nice to feel a different vibe sometimes as if you are a guest in someone’s home.

Great location( centre, close to supermarket , restaurants etc)and very helpful and friendly staff! Clean room.

The rooms at the front are noisy due to the traffic. But with windows closed and earplugs it’s ok. Best choose for room at the back: courtyard, quiet if you are a light sleeper. There is no breakfast but a good restaurant right down stairs.

If the mini-hotel (7 rooms only) would change its name from D’Rami to Hotel Friendly Helpful Staff, this would be amply justified.

Beautiful small hotel in a cosy old part of Almaty. Close to many attractions, plenty of restaurants, coffee shops, pharmacies and exchanges minutes away from hotel. 24 hours supermarket is close by. Spotless, well decorated. Helpful and friendly staff. Worth visiting and recommending to friends

Not that I didn’t like it but travellers with mobility issues need to keep in mind that hotel is based on 3rd floor (4th in countries without ground floors) without lift.

Excellent stay. Bedsheets, towels, room was very fresh. Staff speaks good english. View from the room is awesome and happening at night. No traffic and good bus connectivity. Staff helped us during the day also when we were traveling through WhatsApp. Let us keep our bags for two days after check out. Coffee is excellent and guest area is comfortable. Location is perfect and very good value for money deal.

You have to carry bags three floors as no lift.

In a very central location, only a short walk away from the ballet / opera, well served by public transport. There is some noticeable traffic outside but not to the point of disturbing (sound-proof windows). Relatively spacious bedroom and bathroom, tidy and clean. Friendly English-speaking staff.

Some points one has to be aware of: the property is located on the third floor of an apartment building, without lift. The access is through a back yard, maybe requires some searching / asking before you find it. No food is served in the hotel itself, in particular no breakfast, but they have an agreement with a restaurant on the first floor. All this is a bit unusual, but not really critical.
