The room we stayed in was really, really, tiny. It was the last room left on the night and now I know why. Paid over $200 but worth maybe $100 at the best. The bed sunk in the middle and there were hairs on the comforter. Love the location but won't be back

the management was phenomenal :)) lexie is the best!! she ensured that my fiancée & i had the best experience after i proposed & really went above & beyond for us — we will definitely be back. the lodge feel was so cozy & romantic, & we loved hanging out with the dog in the lobby :,) the location was perfect too!

While planning a snowboarding trip with a friend, I spent hours searching online for an affordable place to stay. As you can imagine, being a ski town, most prices were through the roof. I’m not a bougie person who needs a luxury stay, so when a Winter Park Resort employee recommended the Viking Lodge, I decided to give it a try—and I’m so glad I did! It was significantly cheaper than other hotels in the area. The Viking Lodge is a small, family-run business, and they went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable. After a long drive, they even let us check in early, which was a huge help. The lobby had an awesome cabin vibe, complete with a cozy fire, a record player, and a collection of records to choose from—such a cool touch! The lodge offers various room sizes, some of which they mentioned are being remodeled. We booked the loft room, which had two queen-size beds—one on the main level and one on the loft. While the loft was a bit much for me (especially after the soreness kicked in from snowboarding), it was still super comfortable. The lighting wasn’t the best, but honestly, it added to the cozy cabin aesthetic, so I didn’t mind. The only downside was the thin walls. We could hear other guests and the bustling city, especially during a snowstorm when trucks were working all night. That said, it didn’t really interrupt my sleep—it’s just something to be aware of. The Viking Lodge is conveniently located at the entrance of Winter Park, right next to a charming shopping center with restaurants, bars, and shops. Plus, the free "Lift" bus routes stop both in fr Overall, I’d rate this place a 10/10. It’s not packed with fancy amenities, but if you’re looking for a comfortable, budget-friendly spot with super friendly owners, this is the place for you. I’ll definitely stay here again if I return to Winter Park!

Given the nature of an older building, I could hear other guests walking through the hall or up the stairs, but let's be real, even a ninja would struggle to walk quietly in snow boots. Finding the office was a bit of a scavenger hunt but not overly complicated.

Incredible location, friendly staff, comfortable rooms, cute and welcoming lobby. We enjoyed our stay and would definitely visit again!
