Good location, great breakfast. perfect base to explore the local area.

Kettle didn't work, room not serviced after first night, TV didn't work properly, we had to work out that the bedside lights were on a different circuit & how to operate the heating with no instructions. Any one or two of these points in isolation wouldn't have been a problem but altogether they were irritating. Despite confirmation of a twin room booking on Booking.com, we were allocated a king size bed although this was rectified quickly.

Views were amazing and the pub was warm and cozy with excellent food

A little cold in the bedroom when we arrived but Karen popped the heater in for us and it was warm quite quickly

First impressions seemed tired. Some areas badly in need of refurb Not enough staff, ones there covered everything from check in, serving behind bar. Breakfast was poor and only cereal ,toast and small crossiants. No offer of cooked breakfast No proper check in. Area prior to room smelled of stale cigarettes. Pillow only one each and thin.

Location, it’s absolutely perfect, the staff, it’s a pub and a hotel. But it’s really a pub that rents amazing rooms. It’s perfect. As it’s a nice pub too make sore you book a table to eat as it fills up with people eating and drinking. I’d recommend ringing them lunchtime the day you arrive to book a table that evening. Excellent food too.

Nothing, there are some steps up to the rooms but if you couldn’t climb then chances are you’d be booking a hotel with lifts anyway. My mother was 80 the day before our visit but managed them easily .
