HA Ocean Front Hotel and Apartment

Great hotel just slightly further from the old town than expected

he property is located about 10 minutes away from a popular tourist area and around 18 minutes from the Old Town, so it sits in a quieter, more peaceful neighborhood. The staff were friendly and helpful throughout our stay. Breakfast was tasty and varied, which we really enjoyed. We were also able to rent bikes directly from the property, which was a great convenience. The room was beautiful and, most importantly, very clean. Housekeeping came every day, which we appreciated.

Sometimes when my husband and I are staying at a hotel, there are days when you just want to lie in bed and watch something — Netflix or anything really. Unfortunately, the TV is quite old and the sound quality is poor — it crackles and is very unpleasant to listen to. Streaming services like Netflix are not available on it either. Updating the TV would really make a difference and is one of the main things we’d love to see improved. Also, unfortunately, their private beach was not accessible during our stay. Having a private beach is definitely a big plus for a hotel, but sadly we weren’t lucky enough to enjoy it this time. Hopefully on a future visit it will be open for guests. Overall a pleasant stay, and we hope to see these small improvements made for future guests!

Great breakfast. Connecting room options. 2 bedroom suite having 2 bathrooms was nice. Staff are useful and hotel services such as free shuttle bus is nice and their transfers are good value. Pool out front is a nice addition and breakfast overlooking that area is quite nice. Packed lunches for early departure or excursion days are appreciated.

The location isn’t the best, it’s a bit further away from the local strip of other hotels and restaurants. The beach in front of the hotel is currently inaccessible due to construction / laying of new sand which wasn’t the best. However, there’s a walkable shop, restaurant and bar right behind the hotel which is great.
