GBGBThe location was perfect for my purpose being close to Dumfries House. Steve, the host, met me upon arrival and explained everything to me. He mentioned his dog and the dogs next door to ensure I would be bothered by any barking. I'm a dog lover, so no issue there. Off street parking available. The microwave was straight forward and easy to use. I didn't use the cooker but it had an oven and 4 burners. Plenty of space heaters if one was cold.
The caravan could use a refurbishment. The upholstery and carpet in the front room are in poor shape. Some of the skirting boards, particularly in the bathroom need replacing. The kitchen had sufficient cutlery and dishes for me, but would not suit any more that 2 people. I found the overall cleanliness disappointing: dust & grime on some surfaces, cobwebs on the light fixture over the dining table. There were two bath towels, but no hand towels? The reading light over the headboard of the double bed wasn't working.

GBGBGBI’ve been to caravan before but all of them missed one thing, rice cooker. We were so happy that this caravan has one. We are Asians, thus rice is part of our meal. The charge for our sty is budget- friendly as well. No regrets.

GBGreat value and close to the venue we were attending. We only really slept in the caravan so didn't use other facilities. Good beds, good shower, heating in the living room, oil heater in the double, no heating in the twin. Decent shop in garage next door.
Our stay was during a very rainy 2 days. The steps up to the door are different heights and the wood is very slippery when wet. This was made worse by no outside lighting, and when we returned in the dark it was treacherous. Outside PIR or permanent outside lighting should be installed immediately for safety.

The caravan was extremely dirty, with cobwebs, spiders, smelly fridge, filthy fly traps, dust and dirt throughout and a strong smell of damp. The heater in the lounge smelt of gas. The bedding was very old and worn. We only stayed one night as we had an early appointment in the morning & there was nowhere else available.
