Hotel Tela Plaza A family Hotel Near IGI Airport Delhi

Great friendly hotel close to underground and shops. Ideal location as close to High Street Kensington underground station and shopping street. Staff were all very friendly and helpful. Comfortable beds and great shower. We used the restaurant area for drinks and dinner which was lovely. A couple of things were needing a little fix up. Shower was great but the ceiling in the shower had lots of peeling pain. The edge of the desk area was coming apart from the desk - probably just needs a glue.

Location was okay near to International Airport. Breakfast was okay, dinner we ordered egg fried rice was too dry in fact they put two boiled egg with rice that's all called fried rice, surprise. Reception area was look good that's the only thing we can say look good.

There is long list, I usually do not criticise, even I usually ignore minor flaws but it was pathetic. First of all pictures they used on website it does not match with real room and toilet/ bath. Toilet was dirty, filthy, little flies on sink, in fact I dropped the idea to give shower to my children. Toilet sheet screw was broken and overall, toilet/ bath was not even matching with 1 star rating and they wrote 3 star on website. secondly, if they write on website one side airport transfer is included, they should follow it, it is no harm to write taxi is chargeable but they cheat badly and waste my precious time while leaving for airport. During pick up they confirm over message box yes pick up is free but same day someone text from reception they said its 700rs pick up but they will do drop free which was written evidence with me, I paid which is almost double price from UBER and upon return to airport shift was change the person on reception was extremely rude and waste my time for taxi waiting like 40-45 minutes and I told them your colleague said I have to pay for pick up but they will offer drop free as it says in my booking details along with what's chat I also showed my booking details and what's included page but denied all with extreme rudeness, he was if you wanted to pay 700rs that's ok otherwise he was ready to return the taxi. My sister and brother in law was there to see me, so they booked UBER straight away it was quite less than what they asked. It was pure case of lies and cheating to customer. If you can't offer free taxi service then why don't you even write it one side transfer is free which is attracting customer but later you denied. Bedsheets and pillow covers were dirty and I found one bedbug in single bed but I had to mange anyhow. quite disappointing overall experience.

Nothing worth writing something positive. Unfriendly even rude staff, room not clean, poor breakfast.

The hotel changed the confirmed written price and added a 1000Rps. Pure theft.

Space & bed OK, clean, shower OK as well. Only roomservice, but good food.

The toilet seat could not stay upright and since the toilet was next to the shower without a curtain it meant a wet toilet seat. More annoying was the following: when I booked the accomm was named ‘Tela Plaza’. C 10 days before arrival I was notified the name was changed to ‘T Plaza’ and a few days in advance it was changed to ‘The Caves’. According to the description it was ‘a few mins walk from DELHI IGI AIRPORT’ but, although that might be the case with T3 International (I doubt it however), from Domestic it was 23 mins by taxi or an hour’s walk. Upon arrival I could not find Tela Plaza, T Plaza or The Caves. I phoned the number in my booking and they said to enter Tela Suites. There they said I was in the right place - but they charged me 50% more than Booking had mentioned (plus an additional 20% credit card fee).
