We had a lovely stay at the tabine apartment with our family of 4. The owners were lovely and very attentive. The apartment is spacious, and has everything you need. Great beds! There’s a bus stop in front of the apartment and a train station 50 metres so you’ll be able to go anywhere (no noise). A great place to explore Kumamoto!

Very close to railway station and bus station. Convinient to go everywhere. Big supermarket and drugstore nearby. Nice for shopping. The room is clean and have a nice cityview. Quick response from the owner.
Only one disvantage is that need to walk upon several steps to reach the elevator. Not friendly to old generation and heavy lugguge. But for regular people is totally fine.

It was nicely renovated in Japanese style and very clean. We had a nice stay in a Japanese apartment with all amenities. There were both beds and tatami for those who want to try different style. The host was detail minded and very responsive.
We need to walk a few staircases before reaching the lift, as well as after leaving the lift and walk to our apartment. It was a bit troublesome with our luggages. Further, there was no heater in the shower room and toilet. It was quite cold in the winter. The tatami was a bit thin for one of us but not for the other.
