AH Luxury Old Town

Nothing. Booking.com should remove this property from its listings. I have booked many apartments through booking.com and I have always had fabulous experiences. This however was my worse experience ever. My friend and I felt very threatened and unsafe. When we finally got into the apartment, my friend accidentally closed one of the bedroom doors which then would not open. We contacted a number and sent a photo of the door. I received a series of aggressive texts berating me for closing the door instead of the person taking responsibility for the fact that the door was broken and he had not told us. He rented us an apartment that was unsafe and unfit for purpose. i had to cajole him into sending someone over to dix the door and after many whatsapps he reluctantly replied that someone would come over but he was not sure if it would take them more than an hour. At this point we really did not feel safe staying there so we eventually left!

1. I am a native English speaker and the instructions to even get into the building are very unclear. You are told to "Use your own keys". After a few phone calls and whatsapp I was irately informed in capital letters that this meant I had to use my own house keys for my own place in Ireland. This is so unsafe and extraordinary. The ignorant person I was dealing argued with me that this was correct and how could I not understand these "clear" instructions. 2. The apt is on the third floor and each of the floors were badly kept and very sketchy. 3. When my friend accidentally closed one of the bedroom doors it would not open because previous tenants had broken the door and there was no door handle. Thankfully neither one of us was locked in the room unable to get out, unable to access water, food and medication. Imagine if a child had been locked into the room! It was completely unsafe. All the person responsible for managing the apartment had to do was text us or leave us a note saying to leave the door open because the previous tenants had broken it. But we were not warned of this and then I was berated when I politely informed the person managing the apartment of the situation. 4.The man we dealt with in AH Luxury apartments was rude, aggressive, completely incompetent and unprofessional. We felt threated and unsafe

No curtains at all in half of the windows, inc bedroom. Faulty water heater. This was on day 1. No one had checked it. Owner sent a man round (with no English) to make physical and verbal threats and try to say the boiler was fine. When it was not. We left after 18 hours of what was meant to be a 4 night stay. Owner agreed 50 % refund which has never arrived.

Stylish apartment and a good location, the entrance is sketchy but inside it’s nice. We booked this for the amenities but the oven did not work and we was not told before hand, we had issues with the hob, was told this has broke prior to our stay but was not made aware. Was a bit of back and forth with the renter and it was refunded in the end but it made what should have been a chilled stay with a young family quite stressful

We recently stayed at this apartment, and while it seemed promising at first glance, the overall experience was frustrating and far below expectations. Positive points: • The apartment is clean and well-furnished. • The area is quiet, with parking spots available nearby. • One of the rooms is decent and well-arranged.

Negative points: 1. Building conditions: The building is very old, in poor condition, and has no elevator, which makes it inconvenient, especially if you have luggage. 2. Issues with the apartment: • The second room is overcrowded with the bad and a sofa blocking the door, making it uncomfortable. • No curtains: There is absolutely no privacy; the neighbors across the street can see everything inside. • The bed in the second room is poorly designed and dangerous. I hurt myself badly at night trying to go to the bathroom because of an exposed metal frame. 3. Main issue - cold and lack of support: • One of the windows in a bedroom wasn’t closed properly, leaving the room freezing cold. • The radiators were off, and there was no thermostat. We had to find and adjust the heating ourselves as the host did not respond to any messages. • The lack of communication was extremely frustrating and unprofessional. 4. Unfriendly procedures: • Check-in and check-out times: Check-in is late, and check-out is very early. Any additional hours are charged as extra. • Deposit: A 100€ deposit was taken without any inventory checklist or documentation about existing issues in the apartment. While the deposit was returned after 5 days, the uncertainty and lack of information made the entire process stressful. • City tax: In the last evening before departure, we received an automated message asking for the city tax (3.5€/person/day) to be paid in cash. This forced us to make an extra trip to the bank to withdraw money, which was inconvenient.

Very Clean, close to Train station with 5 mins walk

There is NO LIFT in the apartment. I, myself, need to take a 23kg luggage with 1 hand carry and 1 backpack to take up 3 floor... Not easy for a man instead, i cant imagine how a lady to take a luggage up 3 floor even 20 kg luggage The floor of the apartment is not very well... not smooth, noise will occur when step on...

Very beautiful and cozy place. Big beds, and rooms. Bathtube. Direkt after entry apartamen you don't have this feeling that ubare at renting place, I was filling like in in home. Perfect location from train station, 80 meter from building fantastic restaurant with amazing burgers. 7*. I was have small issue with entry building, but personnel very quickly answers my questions. Thank u a lot.
